So, to celebrate, we wanted to host a screen archery competition. There’ll be no categories or themes, just a fun free-for-all!
Supported Games
This competition is open to Baldur’s Gate 3 only, as we’re celebrating the introduction of Photo Mode in Patch 8.
You don’t need to follow a theme for this one, it’s all about showing off what you can do with the new photo mode. But if you’re staring at your screen wondering where to start, here are a few ideas to get the creative ideas flowing:
- Whether you're taking a quiet moment back at camp or goofing around in the middle of a fight, we want to see your companions in action (or inaction).
- Capture something emotional, reflective, or romantic. Maybe you're finally giving someone the closure they deserve... or at least trying to.
- Embrace your inner durge and show us your bloodthirsty side. The more unhinged, the better (but please keep it within our ToS).
- Craft the perfect portrait, or just let your Tav shine in their own unique way.
- Go full drama. We’re talking trailer-worthy shots that feel straight out of a cutscene.
- Got a killer look? Like to use BG3 as your own Barbie dress up? Show us your fits!
- Whether it’s romance, friendship, show us the relationships that define your journey.
- Mid-swing, mid-spell, mid-what on earth just happened? We want to see the heat of battle at its peak.
Ultimately, what you decide to do is up to you; we just can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Submission Guidelines
- One entry is allowed per account.
- Complete the Google Form linked below and follow the instructions for your submission.
- Post-processing and the use of reshades are allowed.
- No use of AI-generated content (AI upscalers are fine).
- The original screenshot must have been taken in-game.
- Images taken from game cutscenes are allowed, but we'll give extra points if it's a scene you’ve crafted yourself.
- All entries must be SFW and adhere to our ToS.
- Images must be taken specifically for this competition. Only screenshots uploaded to the Nexus Mods image share under the ‘Screen Archery Competition 2025’ category and submitted through the Google Form linked below, between Monday 12th May and Sunday 25th May at 11:59 pm BST, will be considered.
The community winner will be determined by the number of endorsements an entry receives. The images with the most endorsements by the end of the competition will win the community prizes.
We appreciate that there are some limitations with running the vote this way, but we trust everyone to vote honestly and fairly. In future, we’ll explore better options for community voting and welcome any feedback you have.

Judging
There’ll be two sets of winners for this competition:
- Nexus Picks – Chosen by the us. We’re not judging purely on technical skill, we’re looking for creativity, originality, and the shots that make us pause, laugh, or say “Oh, that’s good.”
- Community Vote – You’ll also get a chance to pick your favourites. The entries with the most endorsements will take home the community prize.
We want this to be a fun and welcoming competition for everyone, whether it’s your first time trying photomode or you’ve been staging dramatic scenes since Early Access. So don’t overthink it, just jump in and have fun!

- 1st Place: Custom badge to display in your Nexus Mods profile ‘About Me’ section, a game key / gaming gift card of your choice (up to £50), and optionally be part of an interview to discuss your creative process.
- 2nd Place: Custom badge to display in your Nexus Mods profile ‘About Me’ section, a game key / gaming gift card of your choice (up to £25).
- 3rd Place: Custom badge to display in your Nexus Mods profile ‘About Me’ section, a game key / gaming gift card of your choice (up to £10).

Whilst you can add additional images in the ‘About this image’ section, it’s important to remember that only the main image will be judged, so make sure it’s the one you’re happiest with!
