Update (2024-09-12): There is a much better and insanely movie accurate crosshair mod with both animations and sounds out now that's made by DMClues. Get it from here 😉
Update (2024-09-12) End.

This is the png file I created to make a movie accurate RoboCop crosshair for the game with the help of Steam's "Crosshair X", and it can be toggled on and off in game by any button of your choosing on a keyboard, mouse, or controller.
Crosshair X is required for this, and it costs around $6 on Steam. So it's up to the players whether they think it's worth it or not.

I personally think it makes the shooting a lot more enjoyable and authentic. And best of all, it's togglable. No more do players need to see that awful default crosshair. And when there are no enemies present, you don't need to still have the crosshair visible. Players decide when to have it on and off.

Here are my Crosshair X settings for it. Although I do not know if these settings will work for others since I play on a 77" LG C9 Oled TV. But I'll post my settings here anyway:

Size: 1
Horizontal position: -1
Vertical position: 2

If the settings are wrong for you, then all you have to do is align my RoboCop crosshair size and position with the default game crosshair. And when that's done, just turn off the default crosshair in the game options.

You can either have the crosshair to only appear when you hold the aim button, or as a on/off assigned button, or both.

How to make a on/off button (excellent for when you want it visible for hip firing).
In the "Configure Keybinds" section in Crosshair X:
Global Toggle: I have it on, and assigned to keyboard number button 6 (and I have 6 assigned to the right extra paddle on the Xbox One Elite Series 2 controller). You can of course choose any button you want as long as it does not do anything while you press it in game.

How to have it appear when you aim
On "Aim", I have the option "Show Crosshair (Hold)", and on the mouse icon, I have it assigned to "Mouse 2",
and "LT" on the Xbox icon. Make sure to set Mouse 2 as the aim function in the game as well.
