So I installed the latest version of reshade and it seems to work and the game looks fantastic. My only issue is that I have black bars on the top and bottom of my screen. I'm not running an ultrawide monitor either just a 27in. Other than that I have no issues and I'm really enjoying this reshade!
i did everything correctly why is my game flashing? if u can add my discord cause i think i need help cause i dont know if i did somethin wrong ElToxicoCuhh#6167
After decompressing the compressed package I downloaded, there is only Horror Night.ini file, and there is no corresponding reshade-shaders folder. I've been stuck with this for a while, then I found that there is only one ini file in the preview file content, I think you may have forgotten to pack the reshade-shaders folder in the latest update.
I followed the installation instructions but my game still looks Vanilla. How do I enable your Reshade? I already chose your Horror Night reshade in installation and already downloaded entire packages, even did reverse 1, but my game still look same, what am I doing wrong? There are also a bunch of list of check boxes in Home, what is all that stuff.
1) Have you got a message when you launch the game with reshade 4.9.1 ? 2) Can you make a screenshot with effects checked ? 3) Are you in Performance mod in Reshade menu ? 4) Check in reshade Menu if you bind a key to activate/deactivate reshade
1) Yes, I chose your preset 2) I'm not sure which effects I need to enable/check, it just says its enabled when I press PageUp (enable hotkey), but nothing is checked 3) Nope, doing Reverse 1 4) I did as PageUp to test if anything works, no difference, just vanilla? 5) Last picture, I'm supposed to check everything / all packages right? I already did that. But whenever I load double click Reshade again after choosing Re7.exe Direct 10/11/12, everything is like back to beginning, nothing checked, asks me to reinstall again?
Yes, you should check all packages when you install Reshade. The best way is to do a clean uninstall/install.
-> After installation, Unrar my Rar then : make sure you copy/paste the 'Reshade-shaders' folder into your game directory. It will ask you to overwrite the previous folder. If it doesn't ask to overwrite, you made a mistake in the copy/paste.
Hey it worked! So apparently I did not follow the order of installing your pack and ini after installing the Reshade into game directory. I downloaded yours first inside the game directory, so nothing was being overwritten. After I overwrite with yours files, it works. haha. thanks! Looks so real compared to vanilla!
I already had the 4.9 reshade, I installed all for RE7 then placed the contents of zip file in the RE7 exe folder, it did ask to overwrite. But even after that when I open the game and press home nothing's happening, I am not getting any message too, which is weird I got it for Sekiro and I followed the exact same steps. Can you help???
If you don"t have message at the begining, there is a mistake somewhere. 1) Try to uninstall and reinstall reshade with Admin Rights. 2) Did you choose directx 10/11/12 during reshade installation ? 3) Did you use the 4.9.1 version of Reshade ? 4) did you choose this path \RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard\re7.exe during reshade installation ?
Thanks for this, I use many of your reshades - especially cyberpunk.
I am having a problem, I can't locate the 'edit global preprocessor definitions and the other thing is do i just accept the defaults when installing reshade or do I need to select certain presets?
Thanks for that, I play the game using a 21:9 mod since the game doesn't natively support it and I noticed that when I enable reshade it stops the 21:9 mod from working and shows black side bars, do you know if that can be fixed?
I don't know about 21:9. In reshade in game menu, uncheck [Border.fx] (Cinema Black bar, top and bottom of your screen). If you have black bar at the left and right side... i don't know sorry :s

I didn't test but I think it'll work fine with the last version of Reshade.

you need to select all packages (very important to do that) when you install reshade 4.9.1. (Independently of edit global preprocessor)
if you don’t have access to edit global pre processor. Uncheck performance mod (bottom of reshade menu in game)
hope that helps you !
