About this mod

This mod replaces four handguns in the game with the Japanese military's "legendary" handgun, the Type 94. The user can choose which gun to replace, whether that be replacing the G17 with the Type 94, the M19, or the AW-01 the MPM. In addition to replacing the gun itself, two realistic 8mm NAMBU Ammo boxes are also included!

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude and give credit to the great original author.

The 3D model and original texture of the Type 94 body incorporated in the above five MODs,
"M19 replace Type 94", "G17 replace Type 94", "MPM replace Type 94", and "AW-01 replace Type 94", "NAH AW-01 replace Type 94"

were created by "minghauLoh". I borrowed the model from him. His model is distributed for free.

Explanation in English:
This mod replaces the four pistols that appear in the game, the M19, G17, MPM, and AW-01, with the Type 94, alegendary pistol from the Japanese military. It is possible to replace all four guns with the Type 94, or you can specify which pistol you want to replace and have the Type 94 appear. It also supports replacing the AW-01 from Not a Hero, so you can even give Chris a pistol that will never suit him.

In addition, since the real-world Type 94 uses a minor cartridge called 8mm NAMBU, I created a cartridge box that resembles the 8mm NAMBU. These replace the Handgun ammo and Enhanced handgun ammo. Users can choose whether to install these.

Don't laugh, I love this pistol. This gun has historically had the worst reviews, and as a result, people tend to write it off before they've even tried it. Try it out and evaluate it, even if it's in a game, and that's healthier than hating it without trying anything. I hope you'll reassess the Type 94.

Note1: Even if you only introduce skins, the performance of guns and bullets in the game will not change.

Note2: Even if you install this mod, the icons displayed in the item box screen, etc. will remain as I left them as they are because of conflicts when installing other mods. Well, even if we change it, it won't stand out much. This is an intentional specification, do not file a bug report on this.

Note3: Please do not redistribute this on other sites. This is a mod that will only be posted on NEXUS. Well, I don't think there's any chance of anyone extracting the contents, but please think about how your dad will look before you do something naughty.

The description below this is how to introduce the MOD.

Skin install method:
1. Select the skin you wish to install from the seven available and download it.
2. Place the downloaded .rar file in the Games/RE7/Mods folder without unzipping it.

3. Open Mod Manager and enable the mod
4. Select Launch game to start playing!

This mod is packaged in a single RAR file. Do not unzip it. If you do, it will just become weirdly difficult to use.
If you want only what you need, please select the individual uploaded files.

BONUS NOVEL~Jack Baker’s Journal

Found myself a damn ol’ war pistol today. Type 94 Nambu. Japanese. One o’ them ones they used back in the Big One—World War II. Now before you laugh, I already heard the stories. “It’ll go off if you look at it wrong,” “You shoot it and your hand flies off with the bullet,” all that nonsense.
Picked it up at the gun show over in Baton Rouge. Feller had it sittin’ next to a crusty Carcano and a beat-up Tokarev. Nobody was givin’ it a second look. Hell, most folks were gravitatin’ to Glocks and ARs like flies on honey. But me—I got a feel for old iron. Something about a gun that’s lived through time.
She’s ugly. Real ugly. Got that boxy, half-finished look. Grip’s short—pinky finger’s just hangin’ off the edge like a drunk on a porch rail. Slide don’t travel much, and that trigger bar’s just sittin’ out in the open like an accident waitin’ to happen.
But… you know what? I like her.
Put her in Condition Three—empty chamber, full mag—and she ain’t any more dangerous than a squirrel with a cold. Folks who call her unsafe just don’t understand how she works. If you handle her with a little respect, she’s no worse than anything else. Hell, might be safer than some striker-fired tupperware the kids are usin’ these days.
Grip’s good for CC too, real flat profile. Rides nice in my waistband, Although the shape is strange, this gun is compatible with the old Bianchi #19L designed for the Beretta 84. However, I repeat, it is essential to handle it in condition 3. Even though it looks like the sear is protected by thick leather, in reality, it is easy to accidentally fire the sear by pushing it from the outside. And the recoil? Barely a whisper. High bore line and a fat frame means she don’t jump much. You just squeeze, and she whispers back.
Did some shootin’ out behind the barn with those LA AMMUNITION STUDIO loads. Got a mix—some real old stuff from the ‘80s, and a few boxes of them SAKURA loads. Now those suckers are hot. 130 grain, punchier than standard, but damn if they ain’t a joy to shoot. You gotta be careful, though—Type 94 wasn’t made with +P in mind. Still, she handled it fine. Slide came back smooth, locked open like she was proud of herself.
Lucas got into my ammo box last week. Little bastard thought it’d be funny to cook up some blanks and slip one into the mag. Nearly shot the wind chime off the back porch when I went to test it. Said it was a “science experiment.” I grounded him, but hell, he just went back to tinkerin’ in the garage like nothin’ happened.
Then Zoe… Lord have mercy. Tried to sell the Type 94 on Gunbroker. Said it was “weird” and “not worth anything.” Almost had a damn stroke. I told her straight—this ain’t just some busted relic. This here’s a piece of history, and it shoots better than half the junk in the gun case. Told her if she wants to sell somethin’, she can hawk her cousin’s rusty four-wheeler instead.
I’m keepin’ this one. Gonna stash it in the drawer next to my M1911. No, it ain’t as pretty, and sure as hell ain’t as iconic. But this one… she talks to me. Not with words. Just in how she cycles. The old girl’s got soul.
Note to self:
Need to start reloading 8mm Nambu soon. Can’t keep relyin’ on LA Ammo forever. Tools are rare, but reckon I can jerry-rig somethin’ with my lathe and some .40S&W or .357SIG brass.
Ain’t no point havin’ a piece of history if you can’t keep it breathin’.
Jack
※This story is merely a bonus to deepen the worldview. It was written to justify why there is a Type 94 in an abandoned house in Louisiana. It has nothing to do with Capcom lore.※
