This mod is mainly for people who play with the AI and want them to be some character other than Chris, Sheva, Jill, or Josh. Unfortunately, if you set the AI to any character other than those mentioned, they can't do melee attacks correctly and just take out their knife instead of doing melee. The only way to fix this is to either use the trainer to swap the knife for a melee attack, which is very limiting and kinda buggy as a solution, or to mod the character you want over a character that can do melee attacks, like Josh.
With this mod you can have Wesker as an AI partner and actually have him do melee attacks correctly. It's not a perfect recreation of Wesker's melee, because that'd be impossible given how this game handles melee attacks between characters, but I think it works pretty well for what this is.
These attacks were all taken from Wesker's boss moves so if you convert a mod like Scar's Ultimate Wesker Boss Pack, over Josh, the coat physics won't break.
Melee attacks:
Head Flash: Panther Fang Maximum Straight: Triple spin from his boss moves(it's the attack he does in response to you trying to shoot him after he dodges multiple times in succession, this can land up to 3 times) Arm Front: Mustang Kick Leg Front: Windfall(called Chikyo Chagi in RE4, in the same spot from that game) Arm Back: Elbow attack Leg Back: Suplex(can't really be changed feasibly) Help: Ram Horn Ground: Sweep Kick Finisher Front: Choke Slam(also can't be changed) Finisher Back: Rhino Charge from boss moves
Known issues:
Because the melee attacks were taken from Wesker's boss moves, instead of his mercenaries player melee, they may cause his weapon on back to end up in his chest. I'd recommend just using the trainer's remove weapons on back option if this bothers you.
