This is my first preset in which I’ve used Cinematic Depth of Field. I know it’s a time-consuming effect to properly adjust for a specific game, but the effort pays off! Additionally, I’ve implemented effects such as:
Reduced color saturation (adding a raw, atmospheric feel),
Fake HDR (enhancing whites),
Sharpening (mainly noticeable on characters),
Letterbox for a cinematic aspect ratio.
The preset works in cutscenes, but note that navigating menus might be a bit more challenging due to the depth of field effect. In-game, the depth of field should function properly, adding a significant level of immersion. On lower-end hardware, you may experience an FPS drop of around 10–30, especially on GPUs like the GTX 1050Ti, GTX 1060, and their equivalents. I encourage you to try out this preset and let me know if you encounter any issues. Feedback is very important to me as I continue developing my skills.
Place the downloaded files into the main game folder on Steam. To find it easily, right-click on RE4R, select Browse Local Files, and you’ll see the main game folder. Keep in mind that you need to install Reshade for this preset to work. Here’s a link to a guide showing how the installation process looks—it’s very similar or nearly identical for most games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ble4LLSg3-o&t=148s
