Soundtrack Replacer (Silent Hill 3)

Monsters...? They looked like monsters to you?

Replaces some music from the game with the soundtrack from Silent Hill 3.
You'll need the Original soundtrack swap DLC for this to work.
After installing this mod, switch to "Original" in the Extras options.

After my Soundtrack Replacer mod using Silent Hill 2 soundtrack for RE2R,
I've always wanted to make another one using the SH3 soundtrack,
but never had the time or energy to do it.
So I've decided to start this project, this time for RE4R.

It's still a WIP, and WILL take time to be complete, and here's why:

The audio works differently, compared to RE2R.
In RE2R, there was a single PCK containing all the tracks.

In RER4, there are a lot more BGM files.
There's a BGM file for the title (and other option tracks),
4 "main" BGM files, for music played outside of cutscenes,
(each containing multiple tracks),
and every cutscene has its own music track.

So, like in RE2R, I will only mod the DLC files (for now),
since the standard ones contain so much more tracks (nearly 400 vs around 45 for the DLC).

Again, it's still a WIP, and I've just started the project.
It might not be perfect, some tracks might be too loud or too quiet, or don't fit,
so feel free to comment if you notice something is off.

Chapter 1 is (mostly) done, and the remaining chapters
will be covered in future updates.

Bonus:
You can find the Silent Hill 3 Intro (replaces the RE Engine intro),
in the optional files.

You can also find a title screen replacer
(replaces the RE4 logo with the SH3 logo)
in the optional files.

Enjoy!

Note:
The mod consists of 2 files, the Main one, and the DLC one.
The Main file has the title BGM, and the cutscenes tracks.
The DLC one has the music from the DLC BGM files.
You could potentially only install the Main mod (if you're not using the DLC Soundtrack),
but you'll be missing a lot of tracks.
So to enjoy the complete experience, install both (and their updates).

I decided to keep the mod files as modular, instead of one big file.
That way, it'll be easier when changes are made only to certains files,
without having to reupload everything.

MAIN-1.0:  Chapter 1's BGM is covered (and some of Chapter 2)
MAIN.ADDON1-1.0:  Chapter 2, 3, 4 and some of Chapter 5, BGM covered

DLC-1.0: "Resident" and "Village" BGM
DLC.ADDON1-1.0: "Castle" BGM
DLC.ADDON2-1.0: "Island" BGM

Mods that go well with this:
Heather Mason Outfit for Ashley
James Sunderland outfit for Leon (technically not SH3, but wth)
The Mist or
Foggy environment
Foggy Main Menu

To do:

- Replace the remaining tracks
- Rearrange tracks that might be "off-topic" or too loud/quiet.
