What's New
Ashley's default jacketless outfit has been replaced with an 18th Century lore friendly rose gold dress and a matching hairstyle. Custom physics has been given to both the dress and hair. Mod includes an optional blue variant of the dress and a replacement for Leon (Jacket) with Ashley and Ada animations + sounds. Additional file is included to give Ashley and the Leon replacement her original hair back - this can be mix and matched (i.e Ashley can have her original hair, Leon replacement can have the modded hair).
Note
- Turn hair strands off in graphics menu. If you want to use Ashley's default hair, just turn hair strands on or install the optional pack.
- By default, Ashley and the Leon replacement mods have the Rose Gold dress installed. There is an optional Rose Gold pack included and this is to assist with easily swapping colours.
- Changing Ashley's dress colour will also change the Leon replacement's colour. They will always be matching and I can't modify this.
- The main Leon replacement mod has Leon's default animations applied. This is due to a bug where Ashley's animations (and maybe Ada's) will not roll under the timed door in the area where Leon loses his weapons. If you encounter this bug, uninstall the animation mod and save after you have rolled under the door - then the animation mod is fine to reinstall. For some reason, the second timed door towards the end of the game will allow you to roll under it normally.
- Ashley's main file needs to be installed for the Leon replacement to work.
- Leon replacement mod has Ashley sound effects but story/cutscene dialogue will remain Leon's. No idea how to or if this can be switched off.
Installation
1. Install and set up Fluffyquack's mod manager.
2. Copy the .rar file/s into ...\modmanager\games\RE4R\mods and activate the mod's you wish to use.
3. Play the game.
Bugs/Issues
- The rolling under the door animation listed in the notes section.
- Dress will occasionally clip or distort during some cutscene actions. REEngine cloth physics are not the best unless the mesh uses .gpuc physics, and they currently cannot be modded nor support imported meshes.
- After some specific cutscenes, the Leon replacement arms will disappear. Quitting to menu and reloading your save will fix the issue.
- Leon replacement mod has Ashley sound effects but story/cutscene dialogue will remain Leon's. No idea how to switch this off.
- Melee hitting sounds do not register.
- Occasionally the Leon replacement mod will have no textures and physics applied in specific cutscenes. This rarely happens, but is due to the game trying to load Leon's textures (i.e infection going up Leon's arms) over Ashley's mesh.
