Hey awesome mod! Downloading the update. Do you ever plan on porting RE4R inventory and UI sounds as well? There is already a mod for that, but sounds are not right at all. Btw I tried your mod on FMM now, and it says it's corrupted (Failed to load the .zip).
You updated the mod, right? I downloaded it a few days ago, just wanted to know the changelog if you fixed something, idk. The mod is amazing btw! I posted a comment on your video.
I believe there might be an issue. I’m also working on a project that replaces the gunshot sounds in RE4 with the ones from the RE4 Remake. It was a personal project that I planned to release after finishing. However, you did it first, but I think you made a mistake when capturing the sounds. The excessive echo comes from a closed environment. I know it’s a bit discouraging to point out flaws in other people’s projects, but I’m being genuinely honest. The echo of the gunshots is too much. This happens when the sound hits a surface and reflects back to the player. It would be interesting and more accurate to record the gunshots in an open environment, like an area in the village. Enter a house with the door open, stay inside the house, but shoot outside. That way, you won’t capture the sound of the environment, and you'll get clean gunshot sounds without any kind of reverberation. This is my honest recommendation. If you don’t want to do it, that’s fine, you’ve done a great job so far. Thank you.
Thanks for the review and advice. I want to let you know that adding the excessive echo was my intention. In addition, I didn't record sounds directly from gameplay, I exported from files and edited additionally to my taste. Echoes can often sound out of place - it's true. But guns sound more powerful because of them. Anyway, waiting for your mod. If people will have more choice - it's always great. So I wish you good luck in developing your sound addon.
