About this mod
Replaces some tracks of the classic soundtrack swap DLC with tracks from the original RE2R soundtrack.
- Permissions and credits
The mod was made on the base of "Nothing More To Do Here" mod and contains "Nothing More To Do Here" track as the theme of the STARS office. All credits for "Nothing More To Do Here" goes to original author solidjenner.
Tracks that was replaced by me:
“RPD Hall” from RE2R, instead of classic RPD Hall theme.
“Fear Again” from RE2R, instead of classic track that plays at first zombie encounter in RPD.
“Save Room (Model Screen version)” from RE2R, instead of classic Save Room track.
“As One Desires” from RE2R, instead of classic library theme (because I like that track and it only plays in Claire campaign in chief’s office, but I wanted to hear it in Leon campaign as well).
“The Straight and Winding” from RE2R, instead of classic Factory theme, that plays in chess puzzle room (because there a no factory location in RE2R and Ilike "The Straight and Winding").
“Police Station Basement” from RE2R, instead of classic Factory theme, that plays in baby G’s infested area (again because there a no factory location in RE2R).
Manual Installation instructions:
!!! This mod will not work if you do not have classic OST DLC for the game!!!
1) Go to your "RESIDENT EVIL 2 BIOHAZARD RE2" directory, and go into 920567 folder.
2) Backup "re_dlc_000.pak" file, as it going to be replaced with dummy file.
3) Download and unpack the archive into "RESIDENT EVIL 2 BIOHAZARD RE2" directory. "Yes" to replace the files.
4) Make sure you have "Original" soundtrack setting into audio options.
5) Play the game with modernized classic OST.
As mentioned earlier, the mod is not perfect and the author could not figure out loop points business at all. Nevertheless in the game this does not sound so bad, maybe someone will like it.
Update:
At request of the Alexander09138, the author made another version of the mod. In this version, the Save Room music is replaced with RE2R in-game version, and of course it loops.
