You have to roll back to the non RT version. I'm playing in 2023 and it still works for me. Currently doing a Dogs only run where all enemies are dogs, and not having to deal with Mr. X is a blessing. Now, I just need a mod that makes him attack enemies!
Hey I got a post on my mod page asking if I could make a mod but I have no idea how to go about it. They asked me to make a mod to make dimitrescu and her daughters not attack you. And I don't have any idea how to go about that so since you made this maybe you'll know. So here's a mod suggestion if you get the chance. I figured you'd know a lot better since you made this mod.
Worked for me. I was doing an all enemies are Ivy's run, and as you know, if you get caught by an Ivy without a defensive weapon, it's automatic death. I just didn't want the frustration of having to sprint away from Mr. X and have to dodge Ivy's at the same time, which probably would have been quite frustrating. This was exactly what I needed! Endorsed.
I was also using the Nemesis mod, so it was funny to watch the Nemesis strut around, looking confused. Like, "What am I doing here? Who is this person running all over the place like a maniac?" LOL
Gonna have to try this one out. I tried the mod that removes him outright, and it doesn't feel right. Gonna try this one now that I know about it. I really don't mind fighting him on occasion, but its not frightening or tense to keep having to run because he shows up for no reason, just annoying. It'd be better if he only shows up in certain sequences, and then you're done with him for a bit.

right click game in steam>properties>betas>then select dx11_nonrt
thatll revert the game to its pre-RT update that broke a lot of things.
