Remnant II

  • Who is the target audience of this mod?
Players who want a model replacement that does not interfere with other mods that affect armors and the character, and works independently of your gear and character creator setup in-game. More importantly, coop players who want their appearance to replicate to their peers. Although this mod was created for NSFW purposes, it doesn't need to be.

  • How can I get more characters into the game?
There are 2 answers to this question. The known way is what is currently there -- occasional updates on my end that add more characters to mess with. The ideal (untested) plan is to create an blueprint interface for other modders to implement, that would allow them to add to the list of characters independent of myself. The latter looks very do-able, and is very desirable as it allows players to opt-in and out of certain characters (and save space).

  • Do all players need the mod to play together?
My technical know-how about the engine in this case is limited to answer why, but the current answer is yes. In my opinion, it shouldn't be necessary, and it could be something that I could circumvent on my end. That would further help make the mod extendable.

  • Is it possible to make the colors of cosmetics customizable?
YES! This was an oversight on my end when implementing the shaders, a simple color picker would be a great addition. The only annoying part would be making the UI for it!

  • Can I use the in-game armors with this mod?
Short answer, no. I don't stop you from doing it though, if you are lucky to find an armor that conveniently fits the character's body (or even a mod that does that).

  • Can I hide parts of the custom character instead?
No. It isn't impossible to achieve, but it may be undesirable to author. It's much cleaner to have a base nude body, with hide-able cosmetics thrown on top instead.
