About this mod

Included are all the missions from the Epilogue with Gold medals for each, high honor. Barebones" means I only did the story missions. Most everything else still remains to do, especially random and fixed stranger interactions. I worked hard to avoid them. There's a text file that indexes the save file names and missions.

***I did something in Chapter 6 that has big consequences for the Epilogue, so please read through to the end to find out what that is. It comes with a slight spoiler warning. Skip down to "What I have done" to see what I'm talking about.***

This is from the RDR2 PC Ultimate Edition. Included are save files for every mission in the Epilogue. As with all entries in my "Barebones" series of saves, other stranger missions, random interactions, etc., have all been circumvented so that you can enjoy them yourselves. Virtually everything else still remains for you to do.

I want to emphasize that these files have not been corrupted by mods like Lenny's Trainer. Not that I have anything against such mods, but they tend to corrupt saves making the game freeze up between later chapters. If anybody ends up with a corrupted save file and you can't find another explanation, please let me know!

I've included a text file that indexes which missions correspond to which save file.

What I have NOT done:
- I've avoided random interactions like the plague (although the game says I've encountered few - grumble grumble).
- I've done no pelt hunting, which means I haven't upgraded your satchel at all.
- No mats for outfits or clothing have been turned in to the Trapper.
- The Compendium is far from filled out. I didn't even pick any plants besides a few of the basics.
- I haven't purchased any guns unless it's to complete a set from one that I found, and I've only acquired the ones that are free or found through missions. They have all been fully upgraded, but no personalization.
- I've done no work on any of the Challenges, although a little progress is unavoidable, like knifing a few enemies and winning a few hands of poker during the Reverend's mission.
- I haven't picked up a single gold bar or any such thing, besides the gold ingot that is given to Arthur. Instead, I built up my coffers early on by hijackings passenger trains and taking them to the Ambarino tunnel several times (that thing is easy money and earns you no bounty, look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about).

What I have done:
- And this is a big one (slight spoiler warning): I played through the Aberdeen Pig Farm stranger interaction in Chapter 6 and did NOT retrieve the money, so it's still there. This is the only way to pass on Arthur's money to John in the Epilogue. It's a lot of money, so John won't be short on change at all if you want to take advantage of that. Otherwise, you can, of course, still play through with just the "barebones" financially strapped John that you start with.
- In Chapter 6, I completed "Don't Seek Absolution", so you should see the results of that at a time that I won't spoil here.
- In Chapter 6, I completed "The Course of True Love", so you do have a certain item.
- In Chapter 6, I had Arthur help Charlotte so that you can still get the unique interaction with her that John gets in the Epilogue.
- In Chapter 6, I completed the event areas of Castor Ridge, the Appleseed Timber Company, and the Central Union Railroad Camp. All of these last few things expire in the Epilogue.
- In an earlier chapter, I tamed the Warped Brindle Arabian (which is a second class Arabian anyway) found in the mountains near Wapiti. This isn't quite in the "barebones" spirit, but it's not even the best Arabian, and if you get rid of it, it will respawn so you can tame it yourself should you want to.

I loathe to do extra things since this is supposed to be a "barebones" playthrough, but I also didn't want to pass up on miss-able content, especially content that has consequences for the Epilogue.

So please enjoy and don't forget to endorse if like what you get! Thanks!
