im not sure if the mod is working because i was behind a rock in cover, i was trying to do a hideout from the mod Bandit Hideouts. I had killed one person, then they saw me through the rock then started shooting. is this a bug with bandit hideouts? also heard law mods can affect this mod, so to let you know im using the mod "Rededrunk's Realistic Law Dispatch Response."
As I have said to others that bring up conflicts, if you installed correctly there should be none and mine should override other mods.
I would suggest trying on multiple outposts and on more than one occasion before saying there is an issue. You wont always be out of an NPC cone of vision and failing to kill in one shot can get you caught which is especially the case if you use PDO. Also the person you kill has to be out of other enemies cone of vision.
If you are still struggling there is a variation of this mod someone made which completely disables ped vision and hearing but that isnt what I wanted to go for personally.
I would suggest to set this setting to 0 in BH's ini if you dont already have it set: ATTACK_IF_ENTERED_HIDEOUT=0 When its set to 0 then bandits will only attack if they see you, also where your mask, and use quiet weapons.
This mod:Rededrunk's Realistic Law Dispatch Response Suggest testing without it, it may interfere with bandit behavior and give bandits an upgrade in their response, idk needs to be tested, so whatever you find out let me know and i will add it to my compatibility list on BH mod page.
On 3x variant - is it normal that randomly-encountered NPCs like those just camping around are able to detect me approaching them from behind while I'm crouched or is the mod not working as intended? Thanks!
Not sure why this would happen tbh, unless R* has some kind of random encounter system that would trigger you to be detected no matter what this shouldnt happen as my mod effects all peds. test it by doing an outpost or something if it works then its likely what i said above.
It works really well when trying to clear out thug camps in the wilderness, or hell even when I'm being chased by lawmen. I could pretty much hide in a bush and shoot everyone with a bow and not get caught. But the moment I try to sneak up to some random citizen, they immediately threaten me to get my ass out of there LOL. It's not a big deal to me, I was just curious. Thanks!
Not sure, I know what you mean though and that could be a scripted event like I mentioned. Havent tried it myself, I dont usually sneak up on those peds but they must be coded differently because they dont have the same reactions as a hostile ped would. I imagine a boundary line that triggers their reaction when the player crosses onto their camp, irrespective of what the ped itself would see but that is just conjecture.
have you set your own values in the config file on pdo though? i have set npc accuracy and turned off glowing weapons in the config, and straight away with this mod i noticed npc accuracy is now a lot higher and weapons are glowing again
Yup my config has been altered too. No reason for this to effect that in anyway this only touches one file which only relates to ped perception not ped accuracy or anything else
Same it appears to have messed mine up, I had to remove and re-add all mods to get PDO functioning. All enemies started dying in one shot to the arm or leg after installing. Not sure why though as this mod only effects pedperception, I really don't know
I use this also with no issue. My file should override it automatically if you put it in the correct place stated in the description and can be removed if you dont like it and CLR will have its file take over again without needing to make any other changes. thats the beauty of LML
Hate to say it but probably a skill issue. The mod is working otherwise you wouldn't have been able to kill anyone without being discovered. There is a variation based off of this mod made by someone else which literally turns off peds hearing and vision if you find this too difficult still.
cant tell if mod is enable npcs still have the hivemind its in lml/stream/data/ai so im not sure whats up it might be pdo or law but from the disc and comments it seems to work with both fine
