Howdy! I'm having a bit of an issue. I downloaded your mod, and tried to extract it with WinRAR, but it's showing me two errors: - "Can not open [file path]," and - "The archive is corrupt." I'm not sure if it's something on my part or if it's an issue with the file, but I'd sure appreciate the help. Thank you!
Hey, sorry, I didn't check initially because it sounded like a failed download, but I tried downloading and extracting it myself today and got the same error, so something must have gone wrong when I uploaded it to Nexus. Reuploaded it just now and it downloads and extracts normally for me, hopefully that solves the problem.
Could this mod help to remove a horse from the character I'm playing? Would be perfect cause right now I have this problem where if this horse die, it's not permanent and he would reappear right after I die
I was wondering if I'd be able to mod the Dutch Warmblood in Valentine to have the Online Buckskin Mustang coat (fuzzy feet included) with this mod? I noticed in a comment below that you didn't intend to have any online horses and some were included accidentally.
Or is this mod designed to only replace story mode horse models with custom model horses?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I just want to make sure I'm understanding properly what this mod does.
Sure, no worries. So this is a tool to make replacing horses easier, rather than a mod in and of itself, which means it doesn't actually come with any horses. The idea is that you have a folder with horses that you've downloaded in it (so, .ymt files, like the Buckskin Mustang, or any other custom, vanilla, or online horse you can find), and what this tool does is copy those horses to your LML folder for you with the filename of the horse you want to replace. So your folder of horses can have anything in it, including online horses (or custom horses, or vanilla horses).
The comment about not including online horses refers to the original in-game horses that you replace with custom horses. So you can replace the Dutch Warmblood in Valentine with anything you want, but you can't replace the Buckskin Mustang from RDO with anything. The idea is that RDO is an online game, so it's constantly looking to see if you're cheating by modifying the game files. Modding horses this way is purely visual, so there's no way to actually gain any gameplay advantage with it, but RDO doesn't know that, so if it notices that you've modded anything, it can potentially ban you from the game. I don't want to be responsible for that, so there's no button to replace RDO-exclusive horses in the tool.
Thank you for clarifying everything for me! :) I submitted a couple photos for my Dutch Warmblood replacements. (Just need to decide which I like best now. lol)
Thank you so much for the mod. :) It's nice to purchase the horse that you like instead of just spawning one in.
love the mod , makes it easy to replace the horses. also a question i'm curious about , is there no way to mod the game to add more stable slots for horses ? a lot of people would love to collect rare breeds of horses in-game but 3 slots is too restricting , and it is odd that there was no mod that came out that does that.
Thanks, glad you like it! I would also absolutely love more stable slots, but unfortunately I don't know of any mod that's done it. Hopefully someone will figure it out someday.
Oop, sorry, that's an oversight on my part; this is meant to only support story mode horses (don't want to get anyone accused of cheating by modding RDO). I'll give the list another look, thanks!
Which file or script is responsible for the fact that the horse kick the main character if he searches the saddle bag, and what script is responsible for the fact that the horse, after the death of the rider, does not run away 40-50 meters to a safe distance, but runs away without stopping at all? Is it possible to create such a breed of horse and replace the others with it?)
Sorry, but while I would love to investigate certain horse-related issues in RDR2, I really don't have the knowledge for it. Way out of the scope of this mod, too.

Hope that clears things up, good luck!
