CERR - Cineastic Euphoria Ragdoll Rework - Euphoria Ragdoll Mod Showcase Series
CERR takes the prize for best name for a Euphoria Ragdoll Physics Mod, but that’s not all it does. Cineastic Euphoria Ragdoll Rework’s infamous arms-out-spin initial sequence is among the greatest that these mods have to offer. It sets the stage for some interesting results when considering the surroundings of those who do its dance. Depending on the type of ammo, distance to target, and timing, the ped reactions vary considerably, but the important thing is that you feel a sense of accomplishment afterward (assuming you meant to hit the button that pulled the trigger). The initial reactions are in no way limited to the very awesome arms out spin – they vary and do so most appropriately. CERR delivers Dirty Harry style gunshot reactions with a dash of spaghetti western grit. Pick your favorite action flick and my guess is that the author of this mod has considered it when putting together one of the funnest (how is this not a word in 2022?) euphoria ragdoll mods in existence. If you are into more realistic physical-post-impact-behavior don’t let the name Cineastic sway you from trying this one out. Some of the most lifelike sequences are packed into this mod, giving it a well-balanced feel for both realism and John Wick. Unfortunately this video doesn’t quite even begin to capture how great these physical reactions are when in intense combat – hitting the target in the left chest and having them spin and walk back slowly before you hit them again on the right side causing them to spin once again before taking a few more steps and doing something that an ice skater would take the gold with – that is if landing it perfectly meant falling flat on your face and going completely limp.
If you ever wondered what the difference is between high velocity rounds and regular, I highly recommend testing them out on some of the buildings and walls of your favorite town or landmark – think of the peds as your paint and your Scofield or Henry as your brush… and if Jackson Polloc blows your hair back might I suggest the exploding rounds. Whether it’s a low impact shot or a high velocity blast –a well-placed arrow or a desperate stick of dynamite – each has its place in this mods formula, making it one of the best balanced and most comprehensive euphoria mods around.
AnymYo’s CERR has a following for a reason. It addresses everything from weapons to explosion physics and does so with a certain Hollywood style that perfectly accompanies what RDR2 exactly is. Sensational with a large side of realism – as realistic as the rest when step back and examine what is really physically possible.
The purpose of this series to provide some examples of RDR2 characters experiencing.. gun shots .. arrows too... in order to give you a sense of what each Euphoria Mod does. Each video in this series has been carefully put together with consideration for what the mod does (and how it differs from Vanilla or other Euphoria mods). I tried to capture just about every possible NPC reaction in an isolated state … which doesn’t do this mod justice really.
What this video could have used more of is NPCs in the act of running or moving quickly, only to be hit and spin (depending on the area of body that eats the bullet) then fall off a platform in true Sudden Impact .44 automag fashion. This mod pulls off stuff like that and more… almost as if the author’s day job is that of a professional stunt man.
I hope you enjoy these videos and check out Euphoria Ragdoll Mods if you haven’t had the chance to yet.
This Mod Showcase Video was done with the following Mods Enabled:
- C.E.R.R (Cineastic Euphoria Ragdoll Rework) by AnymYo
- Blood Lust (Specifically the Blood Bath optional install)* by WhyEm
- P.D.O (Ped Damage Overhaul with optional files in LML) ** by HJ and fitfondue
- All Shots Cause Bleedouts --- now replaced by Just F*cking Bleed Already
* The Standard Blood Lust install option is recommended by most of the authors of these mods, however it really comes down to personal preference as in my case)
** Be sure to Edit the PDO ini file, enabling Euphoria Ragdoll Mod support (make sure that the line regarding Euphoria Ragdoll compatibility is enabled i.e. has a "1" after the line. See the description in the ini file - it’s quite intuitive and a very quick yet important step should you want to use PDO and Euphoria Mods concurrently).
You can only use one Euphoria Mod at a time because they involve the physics file. Switching between different ragdoll mods is as easy as moving them in and out of the LML folder between sessions.
