About this image

My small contribution to the theme started by Klaxoid here.  I have to agree with his points about the notification system and additional suggestions made by other folks including tags for supporters uploads. This tune (a.k.a. The Benny Hill Theme) was running through my head at the time the ocurrence in my main shot happened. Still does, as a matter of fact, when I'm trying to go through tons of notifications. :D

To explain what's going on in my image . . . Every once in a while, at least in my game, the traffic goes out of synch in Saint Denis and a lot of vehicle and rider traffic congregates in one area and sometimes interesting things happen. XD  Arthur was heading to The Trapper to sell him some pelts when this delivery wagon, moving oh so slowly, suddenly had its wheels run up on the crates and tipped sideways--I think originally he was trying to make a left turn, but how it ended up on the wrong side of the road is a mystery to me.  The cart horses went down (I thought they were dead initially, but they finally got back on their feet), the driver catapulted from the seat and lays dead on the sidewalk, people are screaming and running in all directions, traffic is backing up like mad, and the couple in the carriage ahead of the open cart in the foreground bailed out of their carriage yelling, "Help, help!!!" never to be seen again.  The poor guy on the paint horse in the intersection had frozen when the whole debacle started, afraid to move and when I took this shot had just started to gingerly move forward again.  Arthur was just sitting on his horse, mouth open observing all this, then we went, "All righty then, we'll just be moseying along."

The notification system in place now isn't as bad as this chaos, but it sure reminds me of it. XD

Thanks, Izzy!  No worries on being late, I'm perpetually at least 3+ days late anymore.   This image definitely reflects the way I feel about the "new and improved" notification system.

Great image for the theme, and an entertaining write up !
I remember staying on the train too long while playing Watchdogs. Eventually, you get to a point where all the trains meet up at one station, and it's impossible to get off the train because it can't get near the platform - lol.

Thanks, Ian!   It was pretty entertaining to watch while it was happening, too.   Were you able to extricate yourself from the train or was it exit/reload time?

No escape from the train, exit and hope I made a save recently - lol

Thanks so much, Erwin.   I highly recommend this game, hope you enjoy it.  I had trouble with learning the key commands at first (of which there are many) and one key can do multiple functions depending on the situation Arthur is in, but once learned, it was smooth sailing.   Everything else is platinum--outstanding graphics, story telling and voice acting.

Thanks, Tanja! *gives Tanja a big hug* Maybe the game knew I'd need a pic for this theme.   Better would have been a trolley or train wreck, maybe, but those don't happen until later on from where I'm at right now.

P.S.  Loved Benny Hill, too.  I need to look around and see if anyone's uploaded his episodes--need some laughs.

This is still a lot better than CP2077 AI

    Great capture, Pat!

Thanks so much, Bart!  I've heard about the interesting things that happen in CP2077, hopefully I'll get to experience it myself one of these days (my current system can't handle the game).

Which reminds me. To those people who want robotic cars: You sure you want an AI driving your car? Try playing RDR2 or Cyberpunk where the computer know every move that the other vehicle is going to make.

Ahem, funny but not funny.  I for one do not want one of them.  I want to be the one in control.

Just another day in a bustling city. Move along people. Nothing to see. Just another jerk who doesn't know how to drive a car - oops, sorry, team
Brilliant - and a fun contribution

I remember telling Laird after visiting Saint Denis for the first time that negotiating the traffic in Saint Denis reminds me of downtown L.A. rush hour traffic--stay alert and be prepared to use evasive measures.   To me, the pedestrians are the worst, just like current times they just stroll out into the street without looking only they don't have their faces glued to their phones.   Thanks, Steff!

Okay, double comment--hit the submit button, got an odd "having trouble retrieving your siblings comments" (?!) message and then my reply posted twice.

Nice contribution to the theme. And a fun shot. Gives me strong "flying cart" Skyrim flashbacks.

Thanks, Mr. S.!   For such a complicated game, I've never seen anything flying that shouldn't be, but the AI and the traffic occasionally get a bit, ehm, out of synch.  However, there are plenty of YT compilations when RDR2 was first released that actually got me interested in it to begin with--anything that made me laugh till I cried had to be experienced.

Your photo very accurately reflects the title of the topic. Crash.. Well, the image quality itself is just great, and the atmosphere is 100% conveyed!

Thanks very much, Pavel!   It's a great looking game, the devs put a lot of detail in it.  I figured this shot would exemplify exactly how I felt about the new notification system.

Good one. It does get congested in Saint Denis. Yep, a lot like the wreck of the notification system.

Thanks, Laird!   I think the pedestrians just walking out in the street without looking (just like now ) are the worst hazards for me, but so far (and luckily with as much time as Arthur has spent in Saint Denis), we've only knocked down two and they didn't die.  I almost never have the horse above a quick trot to avoid running over/colliding into things that get in our way.
