RDR ReFreshed offers a complete visual overhaul of Red Dead Redemption on PC, powered by ReShade v6.3.1 (or higher). The extensive modifications create a unique atmosphere that delivers a next-gen appearance and feel while maintaining minimal impact on performance. This transformation is made possible through the use of ReShade. If your graphics card supports Frame Generation features, I highly recommend enabling those settings.
Expect to see significantly more vibrant colors, richer blacks and shadows, HDR improvements, enhanced ambient occlusion, better anti-aliasing, point cloud global illumination, along with sharpening and various other effects. For the best image quality, set all graphics options to Ultra.
To install, download ReShade 6.3.1 and run the application. Locate your RDR.exe file by right clicking the game in your Steam library, selecting "Manage," and then "Browse Local Files." After finding the executable, make sure to enable all effects and packs listed in ReShade. It’s crucial not to skip any, as they can all be installed at once. Once the installation is finished, launch your game and allow ReShade to load all effects completely. Press the HOME key to open the menu. The preset should load automatically after downloading, so ensure the preset file is in the same directory as RDR.exe for it to work correctly.
