I could just be putting these in the wrong area but when I put them in the game and run it my john looks the same. Which is weird because it worked before
This is by far the best John Marston texture ever!! Do you plan to do other textures as well??? RDR imo dosent need a bountiful load of mods like fancy lighting, reshade etc, Only high quality crisp 4k textures like these ones. RDR was already a beautiful game, with great art style, lighting, and only drawback was it's low res 360 era textures. A true definitive RDR would just need high res textures keeping close to the vanilla, that's it. Anyway bro i hope you make more textures packs akin to this one
Thank you so much :) I might update this mod to include all the outfits upscaled, like the main one here. I’ve also been planning to upscale other things, such as world textures, side characters, animals, etc. The only drawback is that the files SUPIR creates are very large, so memory could be an issue—I’m not sure yet?
Additionally, the modding tools are still a work in progress, so you can’t replace textures for everything yet. Maybe MagicRDR will support more modifications in the future, but it’s not quite where I’d like it to be. I agree that the textures in this game haven’t aged well, and it’s even more noticeable now in full 4K widescreen resolution! Reshade can help the game look more modern, but those low-res textures still stand out, and you just want to upscale them so badly.
of course, take your time bro Hope that the tools get updated soon, RDR with every texture upscaled to 4k/2k would be dream come true. keep up the good work bro
is it comfyui? I have a gtx 1070 and 16gb ram so im not sure if that would even run ive heard of it taking minutes to generate 1 image with rtx 40 series cards lol but sure ill check it out
Thank you kindly :) I’m glad you liked it! The thing is, each character’s textures take up a lot of memory. For example, just the main textures here were around 52.7 MB. Imagine doing that for every character—it would definitely make them more detailed, but it could also take up a lot of game space and might even slow the game down. I’m not sure, though?
I'm using reality redemption which has a John Marston retexture. I use this version instead, it's a lot better. The reality redemption version looks a bit too grainy.

I’ll see what I end up doing next—stay tuned!

If you manage to upscale other characters like this, it'll be huge upgrade!
