Changelogs
(Was planning to do just R6 music replacement for Main menu, but then my greed and feel of nostalgia took the better of me and here we are...)
(also, should be compatible with 1.0)
Play as if 8 billion lives depended on it.
Just because I thought it will be a good idea [to have R6 main menu mod remade ], here it is, replacement pack out of "nowhere" with some extras!
This mod replaces some tracks used in Ready or Not, such as menu themes and lobby/police station* ambiences, with those from
Rainbow Six(1998), Ghost Recon(2001) and Splinter Cell(2002):
- 3 tracks for Main Menu:
  • Rainbow Six 1998 Main theme;
  • Ghost Recon Theme;
  • Splinter Cell Main theme;
- 22 tracks for Police Station*:
  • Rainbow Six(№2 Planning№3 Commencement№4 Launch, №5 Tactical Structure, №6 Organizing, №7 Critical, №8 Tricky, №9 Disaster, №10 Complicated, №11 Crucial Situation, №12 Comrade Fallen, №15 Mission Failed, №16 Demanding End№17 Victory);
  • Ghost Recon(Loading theme 1 and 2, Action theme 3, Loss, [Island Thunder] - Hidden Specter);
  • Splinter Cell(Training Assault Course, Training Covert Ops, KalinaTek* Parking Ambience).
Note: Underlined tracks replace main files and are longer than 50 seconds. For explanation, check "VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION" section.
* -"Kalina" means viburnum - despite it being a fruit, it has quite nasty taste both in raw and jam state, some people think it's delicious, while i think it stinks exactly like tree sap.

Seize the opportunity while you still can, mod is being frequently updated(for now), be on the look out for any updates(even small ones)!
Unfortunately, due to the way those bank files are being made, I cannot drop just the files that were changed, so it will always be somewhere around 100+ MB.

Installation:
  • Locate your game folder (Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\FMOD\Desktop);
  • Backup your MainMenu.bank and StationV2.bank*files(drop to some other folder, forget about it, reinstall the game / write ''.bak'' in the end of the file name, click OK when asked to change the file format, move to other folder, forget about it, reinstall the game - same result, but at least you will look smarter), UNLESS you plan on using it forever and ever;
  • Move archive files to "Desktop" folder;
  • Start the game;
  •   Surprise! :)
  • Mod installed, enjoy.

ReadMe:
!!!(Just a friendly advice, lower the volume a bit, in case you are sensitive to even slightly loud volume, don't want to be responsible for your heart attack)!!!
Thank you for paying attention!

(a lot of complaints and whining, sorry, but I can't keep it to myself)

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REPLACED TRACKS FOR IN-GAME LOCATIONS:
In order for you to hear the music, you'll need to wait for a moment(may be a few seconds, may be a solid minute or more), and when you do hear the music, game for some reason changes both volume, pitch and(sometimes) play speed for current playing file(e.g. Basement Training facility in Police Station).
[Devs' possible(not plausible) attempt of creating adaptive soundtrack, which includes polluting bank files with tracks that are 75% made up of absolutely inaudible sounds , so they decided that if they make a small program tweaking these three settings mentioned above in a completely randomized way, it will make those sounds "OST of the decade" ].(slightly exaggerated this one, but i hope you get the point):/
And because 25% of ''sounds''(if you can call it like that) are strange noises(edit: dissolved components of original track which isn't available) you can barely hear and other part is absolutely inaudible, you may be wondering whether you installed the mod correctly or not.
[Question to sound designer - what in God's name is that supposed to be?]
Also, despite my efforts to counter that, the length of each track is for some reason hardcoded into the game and certain amount of music replacing filler tracks had to be butchered(again, Basement Training facility replacement track - SC OST Training Assault course - the best example of it).
IF you don't want constant music stream in main location and don't mind having some "quiet" moments, I will leave unedited version of police station replacement file(which is version 1.0, where only main tracks are replaced).

Credits
First of all I would like to thank:
- Red Storm Entertainment for making the Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and especially that Embassy level in R6 where the second hostage vanished or got killed(before i even get to the building) most of the time;
- Ubisoft Montreal for making Splinter Cell ;
- My nervous system for it's ability to overcome the stress I endured while creating this mod;
- My PC;
- The lad who uploaded the Rainbow Six OST - Alantiloas[Playlist]
- A good man RescoeZ for uploading Splinter Cell OST[Playlist]
- Uncountable amount of people (3 - ZindreZRbluebug412 and Guilleolid1) for uploading Ghost Recon OST playlists I used in this mod:
[Playlist 1, Playlist 2]
- Ready or Not dev team and especially their sound designers for making such a beautiful game and then doing some minor tweaks that make things not so easy to use, let alone mod.

"I never asked for this." - me realising the amount of actual work while the contents of .bank files revealed to me.*

*- Just because some person couldn't bother with(give a flying ____ for) organizing or at least naming properly his/her own stuff, I, the man who does not and will not get paid for former's job, should dig through piles of stuff only to find dozens and dozens of files(and I'm not including nature sounds) that consist of silence for most part, despite them having quite a weight(~5-25 Mb) and having to wonder what am i trying to find. Yes, i know that these are being contained in uncompressed form, but that answers only one question I have, what about .bank files organization(same goes for their contents)?

Why are you still here?

You think there will be something?

Are you sure it's worth your time?

Well if you are here anyway...

If I had more time, I would encrypt the whole mod description(with help of Vigenere cipher, first hint, btw), just for fun...but what if i do a little test...[sleep is for losers, and besides, "I don't need sleep, I need answers!" ]
The first guy to read the following message will unlock a...a splash screen after first message and a custom intro movie after second
(having a doubt that movie will work for now, I think it gets either skipped or not used by game at all).
[of my choice, don't worry, nothing bad, I guarantee]

Anyway, decipher and unlock a cool thing maybe you won't use but someone may:
The Message(first one) is:tdrlhr jgj pkdv jlro
Good luck!

hint: mathematics is key (or apes together strong)
another hint: look for a certain file "hidden" on this page
[next hint will be in the file, have fun]
:)
(New hints added in a certain file.[20.12.2023])
