About this mod

This mod provides more immersion and realistic gameplay with a more subdued atmosphere instead of the constant action packed nature of the base game. This allows the player to be more methodical and stealthy on their approach, as well as provide more breathing room for your team, without the intense urgency of vanilla Michael Bay AI.

Permissions and credits
This mod aims to reduce the constant aggression and intensity of the AI, by making their response to SWAT more realistic. Intensity is maintained for higher level suspects, however their numbers are more balanced to reduce action movie style fights in favor of more tactical and methodical engagements.

Change log:
-Reduced low level suspect base accuracy(the average gang banger has neither the skill, training, nor stress tolerance to be crack shots in a gunfight)
-Reduced low level suspect and civilian max morale(it makes no sense for most civilians to resist a swat team. i have kept suspect and civilian morale high for missions where there is a lore reason for it)
-Reduced by half or more the amount of suspects in most maps(now your team can approach an objective quietly, maneuver and secure the perimeter for dynamic entry without getting into a gun battle with a platoon of bad guys every 2 seconds)
-Reduced low level suspect health/armor(they now have same health as civilians unless they're wearing armor)
-Increased suspect fleeing and hiding behavior(suspects will break line of sight, try to move away from swat, and hide behind cover when seeing swat)
-increased chance for suspect to spawn unarmed(they will run away then pull out a gun if alerted)

Version 1.1
updated with finer tweaks on a per mission basis with focus on greater spectrum of behaviors making for less predictable encounters. there are too many changes to list as they involve fine tuning of values across many settings. here's some examples of the new changes:

-slightly increased max suspect count to 2/3 of original values with a wider range between minimum and maximum suspect count in most maps so it will be different each play through
-increased active shooters chance of suicide, lowered chance of spawning without weapon, increased minimum morale for lower chance of surrender
-apartment and beachfront suspects chance to spawn without weapon increased making them more likely to be surprised by police and flee before returning fire. however decreased minimum morale making them more likely to surrender as well. decreased starting stress and increased startle response

Latest version updated 2/8/24 working with newest hotfix ai improvements, more dynamic and exciting ai behaviors, and all previous exiting features plus enhanced suspect spawn range balancing for more fun and challenge while remaining immersive and realistic.
