About this mod
This ReShade preset intends to simulate the effects and inherent limitations of binocular night vision devices (BNVDs) for a more immersive low-light experience. Includes bonus Ground Branch-style GPNVG preset.

- Permissions and credits
Those familiar with Ground Branch will find this slightly familiar. BNVDs have a FOV of 40° - so if one is used to unrealistic portrayals of NVGs in other games, expect to bump into things and feel a bit claustrophobic when in close quarters.
Special thanks to Alepap for permitting the use of KSP True Night Vision as a foundation for this preset, and Opfor Night Solutions for consulting.
Features:
- Faithfully colour-graded to match real-life image intensifier tubes
- Limited field of view (intended to simulate 40° - but is subject to change depending on selected gameplay FOV)
- Housing reflections/lens flares
- Bloom effect from bright light sources
- Optional Enhanced Clip-On Thermal Imager (ECOTI) overlay
- THIS PRESET IS INTENDED TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE IN-GAME NIGHT VISION. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN NO LIGHT AMPLIFICATION EFFECT.
Installation:
- Download and install ReShade by running the setup.exe. Select "ReadyOrNot-Win64-Shipping.exe" -> Next -> DirectX 10/11/12 -> Skip ->
Select the following effect packages: Standard, qUINT, Color effects, fubax-shaders, FXShaders, and Legacy effects - Extract and copy the contents of the 7Zip file to "Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64\"
- Open the Reshade.ini located at "Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64\" and ensure that this line is as follows: PreprocessorDefinitions=RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE=1000,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_UPSIDE_DOWN=0,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED=1,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC=0
- Activate ReShade in game, select the desired preset, make sure the effect is synchronized with the state of the in-game night vision goggles (if it is out of sync, you can press ESC to pause the game and press N to enable/disable the effect).
If you're having difficulty or issues with shaders not compiling, try manually reinstalling the shaders from Reshade and/or follow the original KSP True Nightvision installation page.
