SUREFIRE FLASHLIGHTS

What the mod does
This mod changes the vanilla light beam entirely, the images above show the difference between vanilla and this mods choices that you are given to choose from within the subfolders of the main file. This mod tries to stay accurate and true to what a surefire scout light beam looks like, replicating the lumens of each light (more lumens outputting more light).

Below is a short detailed video from SixtyAteWhiskey
that includes everything you need to know before downloading!

       Manual Installation
  • Inside of "Surefire Flashlights" folder, choose between the M300C 500, M600U 1000, M600DF 1200, and M600DF 1500 subfolder.
  • Inside of these four subfolders includes the .pak file.
  • After you've chosen, place only 1 .Pak file into "(where your steam is located)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks"
  • That's it, if you have any further questions or issues do not hesitate to ask or share.

       Vortex Installation
  • Select between the .pak file that includes the lumen numbers 500, 1000, 1200, 1500 - Do not select all four!
  • That's it, if you have any further questions or issues do not hesitate to ask or share.

     Known Issues
  • No known issues at this time.

      Mod Compatibility
In the event that there is a mod Conflict
  • For manual Installation head to "Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks" rename the pakchunk99- to pakchunk999-  of both main/optional files of this mod. This should resolve any conflicts you've encountered!
  • For vortex I'm unsure how the process works in changing priority but you can follow the same steps above after heading  to "Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks\~Mods"

      Warning
  • If your flashlight feels too bright to the point of it giving nausea, headaches please ensure that it isn't your ReShade/Monitor causing this from added extra exposure, contrast, etc. All test were tested on both my own ReShade settings, as well as without any ReShade to save users from going blind.
  • If you are experiencing a big performance hit, you may want to try a smaller light beam, limiting the amount of lights for AI will also help. There isn't a whole lot I can do to optimize it myself and you might just have to wait for void on that one.

     To do list
  • Allow the player to separately have more/less lumens for their sidearm than their primary weapon or alternatively add all the lumen choices to the games loadout selection allowing you and your friends use their preferred ScoutLight in missions. (Not yet possible)
  • New models/textures for each flashlight. The vanilla flashlight model is currently based off the M600V (vampire scout light - 350 lumens) (Haven't had the time to get to do this but I do very much want to!)

All changes have been made based off of test/comparisons on YouTube, and Indoor/outdoor swat bodycam footage and countless hours of tests.
I don't intend to upload this and any of my future work to mod.io, or any other site
at this time but will consider it in the future. So if you find any reuploads there or anywhere else please let me know, I appreciate it and hope you are all enjoying the game more with my mod :)
