About this mod
Enhanced Rat Mating expands the relationship and breeding mechanics in Ratopia to be more like RimWorld, allowing rats to marry and have babies without the need of a marriage monument. Includes configurable options for marriage, baby-making, same-gender relationships, proximity checks, and more. This is a completely SFW mod.

Did you know, only 0.9% of steam users at the time of writing have gotten the achievement for marrying two rats together? Enhanced Rat Mating overhauls the marriage and child systems for ratizens in Ratopia:
Notes
Rats have a configurable chance to marry every time the plugin checks (which is also a configurable interval). They need to be sleeping, and within a configurable distance of eachother. If two rats are married, sleeping, and the stars align, they will spawn a baby into the world. The game sets a hard limit of 1 child per ratizen, but if the child dies after growing up, they can have another one. Setting all rats to sleep at a certain time at the Code Stone can improve chances of marriages and babies if you so desire.
This can be a game-breaking mod. Prepare to configure it carefully if you don't want your city flooded with new rat babies.
Installation
This mod requires Bepinex5 to be installed, please download the latest one for your OS here:

Then in Steam\steamapps\common\Ratopia, extract it and make sure the BepInEx folder is alongside MonoBleedingEdge and Ratopia_Data.
To install Overseer, extract it to your steam/steamapps/common/Ratopia folder, making sure that your BepInEx/plugins folder has a new folder called 'EnhancedRatMating'.

- Proximity Checks: Both marriage and baby-making require rats to be within a configurable distance of each other, making relationships feel more natural.
- Alerts & Achievements: Optional in-game notifications for marriages and births, and support for giving you the marriage achievement, as this mod hijacks the original marriage monument.
- Incest Prevention: Configurable settings to prevent or allow parent-child marriages and babies.
- Gay Marriages & Babies: Toggle whether same-gender couples can marry and have children.
- UI Enhancements: The character info panel (where you assign a citizen to a bed or job) now displays a rat’s mate and child, with icons and names.
