The GE P30CH was one of the first brand-new diesel-electric locomotives built for Amtrak by General Electric during Amtrak's early years. The design was based on the GE U30C, but had a cowl carbody like its EMD competitors. Amtrak operated them between 1975 and 1992.

RTM PERSENTS A GE P30CH.
This model was originally created by Manuil and sourced from a 3D modeling website. We've cleaned it up, scaled it appropriately for Railroader, and put in the work to make it run smoothly. It’s not perfect, but it’s been refined and optimized for public use—and it may receive future updates, though that's not guaranteed.
I’ve poured hundreds of hours into developing track mods, scenery objects, and acquiring and preparing models like this one for the community—often at my own expense. While other groups choose to lock away their content for months, chasing perfect details, I’ve always believed in making things available sooner so more people can enjoy them.
That said, I didn’t release this lightly. Frankly, it’s frustrating when some in the community respond with immaturity, negativity, or outright disrespect, especially when so much time and effort goes into creating and sharing these assets. This release—just like the free RDC set—is a gesture of goodwill, but how long that continues depends heavily on how the community chooses to act.
If we want more content made public, it starts with basic respect and appreciation. Otherwise, things go back behind closed doors.
