24-Hour Stream Recap & Make-A-Wish Donations
We wrapped up our 24-hour Twitch stream last weekend, and we’re thrilled to announce that we surpassed our goal, raising a total of $3,296.11 for Make-A-Wish International! Thanks to the incredible support from our community, we’ve been able to exceed our original $3,000 goal, and all funds will go toward making wishes come true for children battling critical illnesses.
A huge thank you to everyone who tuned in, donated, and supported the stream. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the fantastic streamers who participated. Without their generosity and dedication, this event wouldn’t have been possible. Here’s a massive shout-out to the incredible streamers who joined us:
Modcast Premiere
We’re excited to announce the premiere of our brand-new Modcast, which aired at the end of our 24-hour stream. The Modcast is our new podcast where we'll dive into the world of modding, featuring interviews, behind-the-scenes insights, and plenty of modding tips.
If you missed the live premiere, don’t worry. You can catch the full episode now on YouTube or below. In this first episode, we introduced ourselves, talked about our love for modding, and gave you a peek into what you can expect from future episodes. So, whether you’re a mod creator or just someone who loves the modding community, it's a great way to stay up to date with all things Nexus Mods.
We would love to have input from you all on what topics, mods, collections, etc., you’d like us to discuss in future episodes. So please feel free to message me, submit them to our forum, or you can join our Discord and drop them in our mod-cast-ideas channel.
Mod Starter Pack
We’ve created a landing page for a mod starter pack for Stardew Valley, to give you easy access to helpful guides and tools to jumpstart your modding journey. So, if you’re new to modding, this page will have everything you need to get started.

Online Safety - Reworked Tags
To help ensure compliance with evolving legislation, we’ve reworked several tags across the site. Tags like ‘Sexualised’, ‘Sexy/Skimpy’, and ‘Nudity’ have been merged into clearer categories. We’ve also added more tags to give mod authors greater control over how their mods are described. We have the full list available on our forum for you.
Additionally, tags can now be flagged as adult content, ensuring the right content reaches the right audience.
Site-wide “Ignore” Feature
We’ve updated the “Ignore” feature to be site-wide, giving you more control over what you see across the site. Previously, this feature only hid a user’s mods in search results, but now it hides all of their content, including mods, comments, bug reports, images, videos, and more. If you choose to ignore someone, we’ll show a placeholder indicating that there’s content, but you’ve opted not to view it on comments and bug reports, and mods will not be shown.
Mod Author & Collection Curator Blocking
We’ve expanded our mod author blocking system to cover more areas. Blocking a user now prevents them from interacting with your mods, forum threads, articles, endorsements, and more. This ensures mod authors have even more control over their space.
Additionally, we’ve added the ability for collections curators to block users from interacting with their collections. This new feature ensures that both mod authors and curators have greater control over the content they manage and how users engage with it.
Markdown Editor Playground
We've had the Markdown editor available for the Collections section of the website for a while now, but until recently, it hasn't been very accessible for mod authors to try out.
To address this, we've introduced the Editor Playground - a dedicated space where you can experiment with the Markdown editor and share your thoughts. We've been collecting feedback from mod authors using this page to understand how the Markdown version compares to the BBCode editor that's still in use across most parts of the site.
We'll be posting a summary of the feedback on the forums soon, but if you haven't seen it yet, we'd love to hear what you think. If you're an author, try copying over one of your mod descriptions and see how it looks when written in Markdown. What's missing? What's better than the BBCode version? There's a survey embedded at the bottom-right of the page (if you can't see it, you may need to add an exception to your AdBlock!).
Invite to Mod Page Teams
The process of adding new team members to mod pages has been updated to use an invitation system, ensuring that users are notified before being added to a mod team. This gives users better control over team membership and transparency. You can find more information about this in our forums.

Can (or even should) a collections curator be able to block the authors from the mods included in those collections from 'interacting with their collections'?
I'm asking just out of curiosity to be honest, I was just reading the information and it feels wrong that if a mod made by someone is good enough to be included in the collection, that the curator would be able to block the actual authors of those mods from interacting with those collections that have their mods included in them.
I do wish that there was an option for just 'nudity' for things like new skin textures that might not be sexualized, but otherwise the diversification of the tags is a fantastic change and I just wanted to say thank you for that!
I would also like to suggest perhaps adding notifications if a new tag has been voted on by three total users and added to a mod? I have on a few occasions in the past had that done in a trolling manner to my content, and since the tag that had been added in bad faith was one I had blocked from my view, it resulted in my own mod seemingly vanishing until i went to manage the page and saw the added tag (which I removed)
I'd also like to hear an update from the new owners if there's anything new, because they specifically mentioned actions, prove, and trust in their previous post, although I remember them saying they don't make big promises.
Will you bring back the ability to upload multipe images again?
It gets very tiresome uploading >20 images one by one
Could you provide an example of how the new placeholder looks like? And is it possible to undo the replacement on an individual basis, e.g. to show just a single one of those comments, reports etc.?Edit: I just tested it. As I assumed, there's no easy way to unhide a comment/report without entirely disabling the ignore feature for a given user. I guess this is great for users that mostly "consume" mods but less than great for mod authors. Or rather, it is mostly unusable in its current state for me.
Does that mean that a mod/collection author can prevent us from downloading his mod or installing his collection at all? Or just commenting, endorsing, reporting bugs etc.?
If they'd revert it now they'd undo that change from the past that was (mostly) done due to collections.
