What is this?
A comprehensive solution to the issue of KI5's vehicle part crafting recipes being all over the place.

Is it different than other solutions already out there?
My approach aims to be more inclusive than some other methods which attempt to categorize based on specific vehicle or recipe names. These methods are cumbersome to keep updated, and a lot of recipes that should be in the category get missed.

Okay, but how does it work?
My solution performs a two-step check on all recipes in the game:
  • It first checks if a recipe has a resulting item from a crafting recipe that matches KI5's mod IDs.
  • Secondly, it checks if a crafting recipe has items included in the crafting process that match KI5's mod IDs.

This ensures that items, even sneaky ones categorized in vanilla tabs (and wherever else they may be), are moved to the proper section titled "KI5 Vehicles"

Since this mod only runs on startup of a save in order to sort the recipes, it is completely safe to be added to or removed from existing saves.

Which KI5 vehicles does this support?

All 63 vehicle mods up to the '92 Jeep YJ Wrangler [July 12 2024]

(This includes the vehicles using the new library which is currently being backported to older vehicles)

Other information

I will work to update this to support new vehicles as quickly as they come out. This is my first mod that utilizes a lot of built-in zomboid methods and functions, so if there are any issues or if you find ways to make the mod better, please let me know!

Due to the nature of how this mod works, there might be some instances where modded recipes get clumped in with the KI5 Vehicles tab. Please let me know what mods are affected and I will do my best to patch it.
