About this mod
Project Zomboid render a 190x190 tiles zone around the player
This mod reduce the size of this zone and avoid loading not necessary square
This way you can expect 40% to 70% perfs increase

This mod is not a LUA mod and require a manual installation by replacing an existing Project Zomboid File
This mod works on Steam or GOG version
Should works on any OS
This mod is Client side and is not required to be installed on server
This mod works and have been tested in both SP and MP
HOW THIS WORKS ??

This mod reduce the size of this zone and avoid loading not necessary square
This way you can expect 40% to 70% perfs increase
HOW TO INSTALL ON WINDOWS
- locate your 'Project Zomboid' installation folder (by default should be something like: "C:\ProjectZomboid")
- open the "\zombie\iso" folder
- in another window open the mod folder ('\BetterFPS\media\")
- select the most relevant folder for you config (this is just obvious preset, you can use 4k even in 1080p this will still increase FPS):
* \PotatoPC\ if you use a resolution lower than 1080p
* \1080p\ if your use a 1080p resolution
* \4k\ if you use a resolution bigger than 1080p
* \Original\ is a recompiled version of the original file
Inside each folder there is another folder \zombie\iso\
- copy this folder (or the content)
- replace the existing folder (or file) from Project Zomboid
ex:
replace "\ProjectZomboid\zombie"
with "\BetterFPS\media\1080p\zombie"
This will overwrite the original file with patched one
- launch the game
- Enjoy
