MAS Fusil à Répétition modèle F2. An improved and modified version of the original French Rifle featuring a thermally shielded, free-float, three groove conical barrel. This rifle clearly went through extensive and intensive modification and strengthening to reduce accuracy inhibiting flex. Meant for the French armed forces starting production in 1966 with this version being issued 20 years later as the new frontrunner to sniper rifle standards.
