Can you beat Prey 2017 while suffering from every trauma? This is a challenge mod for the masochistic prey-ers out there.
Start by drinking the champagne in Morgan's apartment, which will immediately inflict you with every trauma in the game... permanently.
This mod makes the following changes:
- Drinking alcohol will permanently inflict every trauma possible except for fear*, EMP**, and fatigue***.
- Medical operators, medicine, and the super fruit can no longer cure traumas.
- Suit repair kits can no longer repair your suit.
- The temporary nullwave and drunk traumas are now permanent.
- Some visual effects of the traumas have been removed.
- Traumas can be inflicted even if survival mode has not been enabled.
*Unfortunately we can't give you literally every trauma because fear and drunkenness are mutually exclusive.
**EMP cannot be made a permanent trauma because it would render the microgravity segments impossible (EMP disables your jetpack).
***This one wouldn't be easy to mod in and could potentially cause issues.
Drinking alcohol inflicts the following traumas permanently:
- Third-degree burns
- Bleeding
- Broken bones
- Concussion
- Radiation poisoning
- Nullwave
- 0 suit condition
- Blindness (a cut trauma that just lowers your base accuracy by 1 here)
- Drunkenness
This means that you will have the following debuffs to contend with for the entire game:
- Max HP of 70
- Suit integrity of 0 (all damage increased 2x)
- Reduced movement speed
- Constant stumbling
- Unable to run
- Jumping damages you
- Increased fall damage
- Unable to install neuromods
- Unable to use psi abilities
- Reduced psi pool
- Screen occasionally goes wibbly (due to concussion)
- No "well-fed" bonus from food (reduced healing)
- Health regenerates slower
- Reduced accuracy
- Wrench exhausts stamina more quickly
- Lower maximum stamina
How to install:
- Place patch_traumabingo.pak into Prey/GameSDK/Precache.
- Start a new game for all changes to be present. You do not have to enable traumas (although you can if you'd like weapon degradation and oxygen management too).
- Drink the champagne in Morgan's apartment to get started! (And remember that all alcohol has this effect)
How to uninstall:
- Delete patch_traumabingo.pak from Prey/GameSDK/Precache.
