> Features

  > Buildings
  • Added a new Grid Toggle shortcut (+ visual checkbox for reference*) that can enable/disable grid snapping for grid objects.
  • Added a new FreeBuild Toggle shortcut (+ visual checkbox for reference*) that can enable/disable placement constraints.
  • Added Advance Move and Advance Duplicate options to all building menus (note that Path Scenery needs to be placed before Advance actions can be used, and Grid objects need Grids to be disabled before Advance actions can be used).
  • Added 3 new shortcut keys to your Controls menu - Toggle FreeBuild, FreeBuild (Hold - for terrain tools), and Toggle Grids.
  • Added a new Incremental Rotation tool to automate rotating objects around any combination of the 3 axes.

  > Paths
  • Paths can go over any obstruction (other paths/tracks/barriers/water/etc). This is now toggled using the new FreeBuild shortcut key.
  • Narrower Paths: Can be built down to 3m, 2m, and even 1m wide (down from vanilla 4)
  • Longer Paths: Can be built down up to 15 in length (up from the vanilla 5)
  • Added a new FreeBuild Toggle shortcut (+ visual checkbox for reference*) that can enable/disable placement constraints.

  > Barriers
  • Barriers can go over any obstruction.  This is now toggled using the new FreeBuild shortcut key.
  • Lower Barriers: Can be dropped to 0.1m high.
  • Longer Barriers: Can be built up to 40m long (up from the vanilla 20m)
  • Added a new FreeBuild Toggle shortcut (+ visual checkbox for reference*) that can enable/disable placement constraints.

  > Tracks
  • Tracks can go over any obstruction. This is now handled by vanilla Planet Zoo.

  > Terrain Tools: Sculpting
  • Increased maximum size to 60 (from 20)
  • Increased maximum intensity to 200%

  > Terrain Tools: Painting
  • Increased maximum size to 60 (from 20)
  • Increased maximum intensity to 200%

  > Terrain Tools: Stamping
  • Increased maximum Stamp width and height to 60 (from 20)

  > Terrain Tools: Water
  • Water Cleanliness can now be set up to 150% for more water colour options.

  > Terrain Tools: Extra
  • Sculpt Anywhere: ALL collisions are disabled if you hold Y while you paint (including paths). Note: For non-UK keyboards, check what the keybind is in your Control/FreeBuild menu.

  > General
  • Does not require injection of any kind.
  • Added 3 new shortcut keys to your Controls menu - Toggle FreeBuild, FreeBuild (Hold - for terrain tools), and Toggle Grids.
  • Added FreeBuild and Grid toggle checkboxes to appriopriate menus.
  • Added a Config file (FreeBuild.Config.ini) that lets you edit any value used in the mod.
  • The Config file can be hot-reloaded by using the "Refresh FreeBuild Config" button under Setting\Game\FreeBuild.
  • Z-Fighting Tool
  • Inverse Alignment Toggle

* Note on Checkboxes: Please note that checkboxes for FreeBuild and Grids are purely visual to show you whether or not you have enabled them using shortcut keys. Clicking on the checkboxes themselves does nothing.
* Note on Checkboxes: Checkboxes, sliders, buttons etc now work and can be interacted with. You no longer need to use shortcuts.

> Suggestions

I aim to expand this mod over time, but I'm not super familiar with the ins and outs of Planet Zoo and I've so far built the the mod from the suggestions of other players. If you know of ways in which the game is unreasonably limited and would like me to fix that, please comment so in the Posts section of the mod page.

Special thanks to Leaf, Iben and Hexabit, all of whom have helped test the the mod.

Hexabit especially has been testing it heavily for months as well as helping debug and brainstorm possible fixes. He also came up with the idea of incremental rotation and heatmap toggles, as well as a Config Refresh button (I was going to make the refresh a keyboard shortcut rather than a button in the settings). The mod would likely have released too soon and with many bugs without his help!
