So they tried to tell me I had to use a sword and I just had to do something different... Turns out with a bit of tinkering you CAN have a Katar, you just have to deal with the horrendous way it sits on your toon ;)
This is my go at it and it's wide open. Take it, rebuild it, test it, make it awesome, just make sure to throw me a high-five for the time I dropped into this ;).
Just a heads up, it sat funny in the hand, too, so I had to make it a bit asymmetrical. If you want to use mirroring the z-axis for the claws and for the gauntlet don't line up dead center.
