For when you need fast and unforgiving combined with an overdose of damage potential.

If it is not obvious by the name and the decals I am a NJD fan, have been all my life (even if we are in the toilet this year...). I also like to put my own logo on my builds for show, too, but if any of the decals on anything I have published (including this one) are not to your liking feel free to change or remove them, I will not take it nearly as personally as the garbled code generated if one tries to use an apostrophe in this window.
File credits
Inspirational credit is given to the Disney Tron franchise and whoever the Hell owns Robotech these days.
The New Jersey Devils logo is trademarked and owned by the New Jersey Devils NHL franchise and I am pretty sure that if I can get it tattooed without paying a royalty then I should be allowed to stick it on a 3D model that is distributed with no possibility of remuneration for use in a video game. If I somehow learn that I am wrong on that one I will make the appropriate changes but keep it out of the comments, there is a discussion tab for that sort of thing ;)

I couldn't decided between new Tron or old Robotech while I was making my first go at aeronautics in this game and suddenly after 5 hours, 2 monster drinks, and many take-off and landing tests I was staring this beast in the face.
The Niedermayer weighs in at 801 Tonnes with 242,686 in durability and 2,016,000 in fuel. Not only can it take some but it excels in dishing it out, too, packing 2 mini-guns, 2 machine guns, 4 laser turrets, 2 missile pods, and one very hungry cannon.
I haven't bothered looking at how fast it actually is because, believe me, with 6 rear facing thrusters it is fast enough. There are also 6 downward facing thrusters for take-off and landing (remember, it's heavy). The 4 tail rotors also allow it to turn on a dime, there is only the smallest amount of drift while pivoting in place. Braking and limited reverse functionality is achieved by the two front facing thrusters located on the knee joints.
The Niedermayer requires a generous amount of space to land. It's center of gravity is off in the back and I was absolutely sick of redesigning the feet. The only way to keep it from tipping over and moving on to something new without scrapping whole thing was to add landing gear spread out around the feet and tagged as invisible. Bear this in mind when you set him down somewhere ;)
