While the Jackal works well as an explorer and scout craft the military wanted something with a bit more durability and armour, preferably armed. After taking on board their requirements, the NeoTech designers came up with the Timber Wolf.
Based on the Jackal chassis, the Timber Wolf features more armour and a vastly-improved fuel capacity. Two rapid fire turrets in front of the passenger seats allow the Timber Wolf to act as a harasser and perform successful hit-and-run tactics when required. The addition of a third pair of wheels increases the stability and allows operation over all forms of terrain.
As it was designed for military use this vehicle is almost never seen in civilian hands.
