About this mod

My attempt at dwarf portraits and AI generation.
Some actually can pass as halflings. Some - as gnomes or maybe even hobbits. A lot can pass as humans.

Permissions and credits
This is a pack of 2777 portraits - both male and female. Many could pass as dwarves or humans. Some could pass as gnomes or even halflings.

I am fooling around with stable diffusion and I needed a goal I could work towards while getting the hang of it. So I decided to try to make a semi-unversal pack of portrait that would fit different games and settings. Something that would provide enough variety so that you can something fitting for a whatever new character in any new game you start playing.
An unreachable goal, of course. But I'm going to give it my best shot so I can learn some tricks in the process.

Two important points:

1) The images are 624x984 pixels. Since my starting point is PoE I made the as close as I could to 3x the dimensions PoE uses.
You'll need to choose the image you like and scale and crop/pad the image into the format that works with the game. And put it where it needs to be.
In case of PoE2, I believe it's to images: 210x330 <name>_lg.png and 76x96 <name>_sm.png (jpg would work too, I think). Somewhere in Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\gui\portraits\player\ (or check https://www.notra.fr/portrait/deadfire).

2) The images are AI generated and hand-picked by me.
There's an occasional extra ear, strange eyes or some body horror I've missed. Most of them can be left out of the picture when you crop the image or
become unnoticeable after rescaling.
In any case they aren't as good as what a talented artist could have offered.

Treat it as a community resource, I guess. Use however you want, but give it a shout-out if appropriate (most of the work was done by AI, but I still
wasted several days of my own time).
And if you want to use some portraits in a mod - do a google image search just in case. The images were generated by an AI, so they should be unique, but can you really trust a machine? ;)

If you don't find anything good here - maybe try my previous pack:
2777 female portrait pack (elf and human oriented)
2777 more elven portraits
