What if the Chanter "Beckoner" subclass actually became the ULTIMATE summoner? Let me present you it's features on the main mod page!

Permissions and credits
Here are the core features
  • Linger for Phrases is increased quite significantly
  • Gave Beckoner "Brisk Recitation" but re-enabled linger (Troubadour also get this bonus now)
  • All Beckoner/Skald Offensive Invocations cost -7 Phrase.
  • All Beckoner/Skald Non-Offensive Invocations cost -7 Phrase to cast.
  • The Great Wyrm (Dragon summoning) moved to rank 1 and casting time changed from very slow to fast.
  • Many Lives Pass By (Skeleton chant) moved to rank 1, changed it to a more durable phantom.
  • Ancient Memory (Heal chant) moved to rank 1, boosted from +2HP to +5HP
  • Mercy and Kindness (Heal boost chant) moved to rank 2
  • All specific Beckoner summon nerfs removed (example: lower HP, size, timer etc, etc)

While some of the changes benefit the regular Chanter and other of it's sub-classes make no mistake; - this mod is specifically targeting the Beckoner sub-class.




Why two versions?
Pillars of Eternity 2 have two ways summons can join the group. In this case, my mod only changes how The Great Wyrm is summoned and touches no other player summons of any kind.
  • JoinTeam - AI take full control over the summons. <--- recommended
  • JoinParty - The player have full control over the summons.

In my experience the "JoinTeam" option is the best one. However, if summons have dangerous AE attacks your party can and will be damaged too. My solution to the issue in this mod was a simple flag-change on the The Great Wyrm summon to not hurt party members. Problem solved. However, since the The Great Wyrm vanilla setting is "JoinParty" it's not more than fair I offer that option.


Regarding AE damage from The Great Wyrm
If you do want The Great Wyrm summon in my mod to hurt the player party if you are to close (as in the vanilla game) just delete this folder from my mod folder "07. No Friendly Fire Dragon Summon Attacks".


How to install
  • Go to your Pillars of Eternity 2 game folder (example: D:\Games\Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire)
  • Enter the PillarsOfEternityII_Data folder
  • Now enter the "override" folder. If it does not exist, make a folder called "override".
  • Extract the rar file in the override folder. Make sure the extracted mod is in it's own directory when done.


P.S.
To really enjoy this mod I recommend playing with it on "Path of the Damned" difficulty with Level Scaling: All and Only Scale Upwards setting.
I also highly recommend the No Friendly Fire Mod. It's literally a life and sanity saver.
