This ring gives extra penetration/accuracy and powerlevel for Fire attacks, a powerful 2 handed fire Greatsword, a fire retaliation shield and a fire nuke.

The gods send you on a quest to do their bidding, yet all they give you is a crappy cloak... luckily Magran slips a ring in your pocket giving you mastery over Fire and War.
Ring of Magran
This ring gives extra penetration/accuracy and powerlevel for Fire attacks, a powerful 2 handed fire Greatsword, a fire retaliation shield and a fire nuke.
Passive:
+2 All Fire Power Levels
+1 Penetration with Fire Attacks
+ 10 Accuracy with Fire Attacks
Trial by Combat: Summon Firebrand of the Endless Paths
A summoned Fire Greatsword with the following properties
- Fast cast speed
- Per Encounter use
- Infinite Duration
- Double Damage Type: Burn, Pierce
- +25% Damage as Burn (Lash)
- Area of Effect: 120° Cone
- Scales with level
Basically it a mix of Firebrand and Whispers of the Endless Paths, it an area of effect sword, hits everybody in a cone, applies status effect to all targets, all the passives from the ring applies to it, it also doesn't have a duration, lasts for the duration of the fight.
Superior Flame Shield
A shield of fire that retaliate from all source of damage (melee, ranged, spells...)

- 90s base duration
- Triggered by all sources of damage (melee, ranged, spells...)
- +10 Freeze Armor Rating
Torrent of Flames
Standard Torrent of Flames, small AOE fire nukes around the caster.

How to Install
Add RingOfMagran folder to Pillars of Eternity ovverride folder
How to get the Ring in Game
At the moment they are 2 ways to get this item:
- Start a new game, you will receive it in your stash after you complete the Prologue Quest, when you wake up after the ship battle.
- Open console (this will disable achievements in this save):
- IRoll20s
- GiveItem Ring_U_Ring_of_Magran
PS: I'm trying to avoid conflicting with other mods that add items to shops.
Motivation
I'm trying to make Firebrand and Greatsword builds more fun for my solo runs, I feel that compared to the original PEO, tanky melee builds are underwhelming, the new Fame Shields help to deal with enemies that are close to dying but out of range, the passives improve the weak retaliation damage, and the cone attack let you deal with swarms of enemies without running out of class resources.
I've tested it with a Crusader (paladin bleak walker / fighter devoted) on POTD (upscale, all) and it is very strong/fun.
Additional Info
The abilities of this item (greatsword and fire shield) are completely separate from the one in the game, so they will never conflict with any other mod that modifies them, the vanilla version are also unaffected by this mod, all the passives from the ring stack with any passive from the game (ex: Scion of Flame)
Conclusion
This is my first Item Mod, I've had a lot of fun making it, I hope others find it fun to use as well.
