I've been using this mod during my current playthrough (GoG) and it seems it could be the cause of black screens (and crash) when exiting an area triggering an island naming prompt.

Edit: after more tests, disabling the mod is indeed required on those islands

Just installed the game, version 5.0.0.0040, GOG installer, all the DLCs.

Put the unzipped folder into the override folder. The game detects the mod, as it shows in the list of Mods ingame, but the game still autosaves.

Am I overlooking any steps? Or is the issue with the game version.

In the in-game mod list, can you tell me if the circle at the right of the mod is grey, red, or green? If it is grey could you need to turn it on by pressing on the penultimate round button.

If it doesn't work could you share a screenshot of the in-game list?

Also downloaded Vortex and added the mod though it, to cut on f*#@ ups on my end. Still not working

Ah, I can see where the confusion comes from.

Sadly you can't disable the autosave through the build-in mod system - you need to use the Unity Mod Manager in order to change game functionality.

3.1.1.0024 does not exist for steam version, only GOG.
My steam game is up to date and it is 3.1.1.0023, the mod does not work for me.
Any chance you can release an alt version of 3.1.1.0023 steam version ?

I can and will, but could you tell me what DLC (free or paid) you have installed? I genuinely don't know if that might influence anything.

I have uploaded a new Steam version that was compiled against 3.1.1.0023 (with all DLC installed).
It works with my Steam version, so hopefully it will work for you too.

If it does not, it would be helpful if you could post any error messages you get from the Patchwork Launcher (if any).

Auto-save or auto-pause ? this is confusing, please fix the title or the description that says auto-pause twice.

3.1.0 is the newest Deadfire revision, 3.0.2 is lower - notice the middling zero.
