The Spellkeeper seems like a fun belt for an Arcana-heavy character, but since it activated automatically at the start of combat and was limited to two uses per-rest, it tended to either be wasted on minor encounters (requiring frequent resting to get any use out of it), or annoying to maintain (unequipping and re-equipping as you scouted enemies).
On top of that, the random nature of the belt meant that even if you had a rest remaining, it may still generate a mediocre spell.
This mod simply changes the ability to be once-per-encounter, so you don't have to bother with resting every second fight just to get some use out of a randomized belt.
