Thank you for this mod and the Abydon mod. With Beast of Winter coming out I suppose we will finally have most of the Priest subclasses available in some way, shape or form. For some reason the spiritual weapon for Hylea does not show up for me. I cannot figure out why. Would you have any ideas?. Many thanks.

First of, thank you for this amazing mod, its great to be able to play as a cleric of Hylea.

I sure hope you are also considering making cleric classes for the other gods not yet currently represented, especially Ondra comes to mind, but i guess Galawain, Rymrgand would be interesting as well, perhaps even adding the local gods as well (Ngati, Rikuru, Tangaloa etc (sort of the same as their normal equivalent but with a slight more tribal / natural twist, changing one or two spells and perhaps their favored / divine weapon. (ex. sword > spear)

Oh and another heads up, apparently these mods are also not compatible with mods that add spells to all cleric types, like the new restore spell line from the POE Tweaks mod, which is kind of a bummer, considering priests need all the love they can get imo.

Thanks for your kind words. I am actually working on a priest of Ondra currently, she was one of my favorite gods, I outfitted my priest of Eothas in the white crest armor and the Tear of the beloved just to emulate the feeling of playing as one of her priests in PoE1. I am having some problems making a theme for the class so it doesn’t turn out into watershaper 2.0. I am devoting my attention to it for the moment and next on the list would be making compatibility patches for my classes for at least the most popular mods. Sucks that the game handles progression tables this way since it makes classes very finicky to work with.
On this note, if anyone has suggestions for the priest of Ondra I would love to hear them out in the obsidian forums or here. :)

After a bit of deliberation and reading up on on sources pertaining Ondra i found that it is indeed possible to make an Ondrite priest without turning it into Watershaper 2.0 (although i would be fine with such an implementation for now considering how greatly it would lessen the amount of work needed to create this sub class) .

In order to differentiate the two you could make sure the priest focuses on the other aspects of Ondra, so instead of a "pure" Ocean / Tides focus the priest could focus on Love, Loss and Forgetting, and direct damage trough "Moon" spells. Its also worthy to note that Ondra is considered to be Relentless, which mechanically translates to duration / over time effects.

Translating these traits into game mechanics may or may not be hard to do, but here goes:

      1) Ondra's Whip - Reason being to ease implementation and because its very much tied to her lorewise.
      2a) Miasma of Dull-Mindedness
      2b) The Moon's Light
3a) Moonbeam - Blue / White recolor of Necrotic Lance, deals frost damage, higher slot so more dmg / duration.
      3b) Returning Storm
3c) Puppet Master > Ondra's Embrace (blank slate / forgetfulness to the point of conflicted loyalties)
      4a) Confusion - "Forgetting" stuff
      4b) Moonwell
      5a) Arkemyr's Wondrous Torment
      5b) Relentless Storm
      6a) Arkemyr's Capricious Hex
      6b) Mind Plague
      7a) Tayn's Chaotic Orb
7b) Storm of Holy Fire > Storm of Quenched Rage, deals frost / crush / electric damage instead of fire.
      8a) Ninagauth's Freezing Pillar
      8b) Avenging Storm
8c) Symbol of Wael > Symbol of Ondra
9a) Meteor Shower > Moon Shower / Moon Fall, recolor to blue / white
9b) Ondra's Mortar > Relentless Storm with better duration / damage and extra damage types / crush / freeze.

For the two special spells i would go the following:
      1) Spiritual Weapon - Pollaxe / Voulge / Halberd with a Frost / Crush lash
      2) Avatar - An Ephemeral Lagufaeth Broodmother

My personal picks out of all these options would be the following:

      1) Ondra's Whip
      2) Miasma of Dull-Mindedness
      3) The Moons Light
      4) Ondra's Embrace
      5) Moonwell
      6) Relentless Storm
      7) Avenging Storm
      8) Symbol of Ondra
      9) Ondra's Mortar

The above gives a slight salty touch, plays up the forgetting / motherly aspects of Ondra at low levels (healing and mind effecting) and her more darker / frenzied nature at higher levels in calling destructive storms / area denial. would be my pick for sure. (side note storms seem like the most legit way to go considering balls to the wall direct damage seems more like Magrans deal (which is poorly represented in game but i digress))

Anyway hope this all helps, and looking forward to your implementation of the Ondrite priest.

      Hey there,
I’m excited to say that the Priest of Ondra is 80% done ;) The release will be this weekend. The mod will come into a pack with my other two mods for maximum compatibility.
The priest draws power from lost memories of the Salt Well. For example you can transform into a tidebringer or a white crest knight warrior (equipped with the Forgotten Tear if the Beloved). Basically my favorite Ondra themed equipment that didn’t get into Deadfire. Summon high tide monks and low tide ice/water fists. As well as “washing” away negative effects with abilities. I’m really happy with how it is coming along. Only things left are to make the last lvl 9 abilities, look for bugs and finish up the stringtables. Your ideas are awesome, you could leave some ideas into the modding sub forum of the deadfire forums. There I made a class and subclass ideas forum for anyone to share.

Oh that's way more in depth then i thought was currently possible for modding PoE-Deadfire,

My reasoning was more along the line of K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) in order for the ideas to be actually able to be realized, i have not yet tried or looked into the possibilities for Deadfire modding other then a quick look under the hood @ the mods i'm currently using, but its very encouraging to see people like you already taking it quite a bit outside the predefined (sand)box we got to play with.

Many thanks for that, as in the end its modders (like you) who keep games alive.

I'll have a look @ the Obsidian forums, and your rendition of the salty priest is gonna be interesting for sure, looking forward to it.
