Eh, too bad this doesn't work anymore. Seems that after the last updates or perhaps after the DLC's something was changed, so char details are no longer where or as they're mentioned in this mod. So, cannot edit them since have no idea where the templates are stored now and these files do not work anymore either.
Hoping to get some help. I'd like to change the attributes for Eder, Aloth and Pallegina using the latest patch think it's 3.05. I followed part of the reddit guide I could find the monobehavior file for Aloth but not the other two. Anyone any ideas, is this even possible to get working anymore?
Thank you for making this mod, but for me it makes the affected characters turn invisible unless I unequip/reequip their armor, and even then they just vibrate and slide around instead of walking. I don't know why Obsidian couldn't just make it so we could edit companions' stats. aaa
So my game is updated and I have the DLC. My characters aren't invisible, but they are sliding around, and generally behaving glitchy. What would be causing this?
patch 3.02 changes some of the data for companions, not just stats, so you might not be able to load your savegames if you don't replace your characters with the original backups (you DID make backups, right?) before you install the patch.
If you DID install the patch on top of your edited characters, you should have gotten an error log.
go back and replace the characters noted in the error log with your backups of the original characters, then run the patch again.
load your save. save that. exit the game. this, mostly just to make sure everything is working OK.
now you have to RE-EDIT each character you had previously edited, following the same procedure you used to edit the character originally.
then it works.
do NOT try to just copy back over your previously edited versions after installing the patch. you MUST go back and do what I noted above... as I said, some of the files have changed and had things added to them, so they will likely break your game if you don't do this.
I tried editing him.... and he then completely disappeared.
hmm. didn't have this problem with any of the regular companions.
you never said if it worked for you or not?
the problem seems to be there are literally dozens of MonoBehavior files that contain similar amount of information.
how to tell which to edit? I tried the largest of them, which did contain basestat info, but obviously it broke something else.
edit... painstakingly went through each one. turns out the largest one IS the only one that contains basestat info, but still... if I make any changes to file, the fox disappears.
edit2: turns out I missed a step, it works fine. *sigh*
