This mod rebalances vanilla shields with the next criterias in mind:
Shields must decrease your accuracy, with heavier shields having greater effect.
Light shields must have better protection per ton of mass
Shields with barrier should have greater potential protection (integrity + 2.5 * barrier) compared to shields without barrier, but worse flat protection (integrity + 1 * barrier).
Lighter shields have shorter duration.
Additionally, this mod adds one new shield with medium mass, focused on barrier.
Installation: Add "Rebalanced Vanilla Shields" folder to AppData\Local\PhantomBrigade\Mods folder, enable it in main menu.
Compatibility: Use backups when adding mods to ongoing campaign, even if mod claims to be compatible with existing saves Fully compatible with existing saves. If you want to delete it from save, shields' stats should return to vanilla, with added shield just disappearing. But do this on your own risk. Please report any mod incompatibilities encountered.
Known Issues: Some shields can have clipping issues because they're very big.
