About this mod

Removes the fog from Pathologic.

Permissions and credits
Allergy season has finally left the Town-On-Gorkhon. This mod improves the view by up to 5x by maxing out the fog and render distances (the fog can't be deleted entirely, since it's part of the weather engine). Be sure to read the instructions!

To install:
- Unzip the mod file.
- Place weather.bin in your (Pathologic installation)/data/Scripts folder. (If the Scripts folder doesn't exist, make a new folder named Scripts.)
- Play the game as normal :)

Blurry background?
- Classic HD's Depth of Field setting enforces a blurry filter on faraway objects. If your distant objects look blurry and awful, turn off Depth of Field in the game's Settings menu.

About installing on old saves
- The weather file is only updated when the "time period" of Pathologic changes, which occurs a few times per day- morning, evening, et cetera. If you load an existing save after installing this mod, the fog will only clear after the next time period update. (New saves should be fine.)
- If you can't wait to see the effects, you can use the console command gt_speed 0.02
to make time go much faster. Remember to use gt_speed 2 afterwards to return time to its normal state! (The console key is ~ by default.)

How does this work?
- Fog is controlled by several sequences of bytes in the weather.bin file; this mod changes 36 bytes in order to maximize the game's render distance and bring the fog distance to one point below that (since setting them both to maximum causes unintended graphical issues, such as day change text never leaving the screen).

Troubleshooting:
- "The mod's not doing anything when I load my save!": See "About installing on old saves".
- "Really, it's not working": Try enforcing mod loading as enabled by setting "ScriptsType = FS" in data/config.ini.
- For any other issues, contact me! i'm @rathologic on twitter and tumblr.
