- Items like matchsticks that normally stack higher than 20 are unaffected
- To perform actions that require you to select a specific piece of equipment like repairing or choosing a scalpel for surgery, you must split the stack up into single items to be able to select them, otherwise it will default to the "top" item on the stack. Also, don't let a stacked item like a lockpick break while in use, it will erase the entire stack. Now, there is an exploit stemming from item stacking that you can choose to take advantage of, or not. Due to how weapon and equipment durability works, if you "re-stack" damaged items with an intact one on top of the stack, it will repair all the items in the stack to full durability. You can use this trick to make things even easier, or ignore it and remove low durability items from the stack and either repair them manually or sell them.
- Timescale does still gradually speed up from day to day but it is much less pronounced- speed multipliers range from 6.5 on day 1 to 9.5 on day 11 (default is 14.4 on day 1 up to 24 on day 11)
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE INSTALLING: go to steamapps\common\Pathologic\Data\VirtualMachine\PathologicSandbox and make backup copies of Action.xml and/or Parameter.xml so you don't have to verify Steam files to uninstall.
Item Stacking: Open .zip and extract Parameter.xml to your steamapps\common\Pathologic\Data\VirtualMachine\PathologicSandbox folder. Overwrite when prompted.
Extra Time: Open .zip and extract Action.xml to your steamapps\common\Pathologic\Data\VirtualMachine\PathologicSandbox folder. Overwrite when prompted.
To uninstall: Delete Action.xml and/or Parameter.xml and replace with renamed backup copy. If you didn't make those copies, you'll have to go to the game's Steam properties and verify local files.
Author's notes: This game is not meant to be "won" in the normal sense, just to be completed as best you can while suffering the trials the game throws at you. I highly recommend at least attempting to play the game first on intended difficulty to experience what the creators had in mind. That being said... The timescale mod must be used on a new game, but the item stacking one will work on a saved game if you don't want to give up the progress you've already made.

Spoiler: ShowIf you're having too much trouble avoiding every man in town for so much more time while wanted on day 1, go to the town hall and turn yourself in to the mayor. He'll put you in jail for an hour or two, you won't suffer anything, and you can rest and find some much-needed food provided in your cell.
