unfortunately, this mod does not play well when using the drake companion from expanded content mod. The drake companion does not level in line with at least the draconic druid from said mod. And you can't even toy box the drake to make up the missing levels.
This mod's dips don't work with unlock cl class level limit, I mean unsurprisingly since they edit the same thing for their results, but could you add a feature to allow leveling up to level 40 for the player without needing legend in this mod too?
The level is technically unlocked, you just would need 100001100 XP to get there.
So you can edit the save at any point to give enough XP for level 40.
If you want a XP-table customized specifically for your taste, you need to write your own version (one mod can not contain versions for every taste and making one with fully editable table is not something I'm interested in at least.)
If you want I can send you source-code for the XP-table editing, you will just need to write in those 40 numbers in the way you want and you have it.
Fun extra fact about your mod, but it seems to not edit the Legend xp table, I mean this almost certainly doesn't matter since legend happens way later and levels dont get refunded, but it's a fun quirk I've noticed. Well I mean it's the difference between level 48 and level 40 so fix it if you'd be able to.
Hmm, unexpected. I though if it switches to the legendary table player would just find himself ahead in levels comparing to the XP (meaning he will not level up for a while until XP catch up), but it is not supposed to make anyone level 48 since limit is still 40. Did you test it, you sure?
I tested it, and it DOESN'T give you the 8 free levels is what I meant, so no extra free dips on a path that is just free dips. That's why I noted you might not want to fix it directly despite everything, although I think it would be cool.
Well, I did not feel like Legend really need more levels, but it does not interfere with my main mod (since I have very little interest to go Legend X)), so I added a new version that should have it.
Not tested however! I do not have save for it and generally not playing much this days, so lemme know if it does not work.
Note the new option is disabled by default. Need to enable to see the changes.
Loaded into a max Legend save and it worked on the tin, +8 levels in the end, brilliant! I guess I'll be back for the 1.2 update when that gets out of beta.
Alright, I didn't notice this since I tested it with a max level character, but the Legend path change you did causes levels to require 0 xp, using toybox this is seemingly true from level 1. It still caps off at level 48, as intended.
Well definitely not from level 1 (unless you meant somehow reaching the Legend path at level 1), but it might happen that one would become 48 right after becoming the legend.
Unfortunately can not really test now, but I thought about potential reason and fixed it in a new file. Might work..
I actually meant exactly that, since I tested both a save getting legend normally (which is how I noticed it) and then later using toybox to just throw me to the Legend level list, I'll test it right now!
Great, so it appears upon extending the limit the standard table length was changing as well, which I was not sure about (it does as it appears). Thanks for the testing again!
If you decide to mod again then can you make a once off feat for the main character with a +25 DR/- bonus (possiby with a slider). I've seen similar requests but know no one on site still capable of making this feat. I admit that I just want to run Through this game so I can play kingmaker (I have no shame lol)
Well, to be honest I did not play the game for a while and as such did not come back to the mod... But I can have a look and mb upload something in a few days. Will not be well-tested though to warn upfront.
All party members story and custom. Although the premade characters will not benefit of the extra stats on creation, but will get extra increase on leveling and extra levels.
i am getting the +4 ability score boost but not the free level dips, started a new game and had this installed before starting. not sure why its not working. maybe its not compatible with other mods. level 4 now
The mod modifies the xp-table of the game by inserting extra levels after levels 2,4,6...,16.
Original XP-table (two 0s in the beginning is because it starts with level 0 for whatever reason): [0, 0, 2000, 5000, 9000, 15000....] The modified one: [0, 0, 2000, 2100, 5000, 9000, 9100, 15000....]
If you would load old save when you are at level 4 (say with 10K XP) - you would immediately get level-ups to level 6. The game does not save your level it only looks at XP and then checks with xp-table if you are ready to level-up or not.
If that does not happen - likely an influence of another mod that patches the same function. Technically if there are options in the other mod that you could uncheck - it should work. But I do not know really, I just spent a few days to figure out how the Harmony patching works via UMM on few examples + trial and error, and I do not know a lot of details...
Is it intended for you to be able to level up to 40 without Legend? I just installed the mod on an old save that was around level 18 and it bumped my character all the way to being able to level to 26 on a Trickster mythic path.
No, you would be 28 without Legend and 48 with (if you enable the option, otherwise still 40).
You can technically go 40 without Legend, but you would need to save-edit XP or something similar, because XP to reach 29 is set to normally unattainable value.

(EDIT) - Works like a charm!

is anyone else having luck with toybox mod and the free dips?
