Author must be deceased, as there are pages of comments complimenting the mod and lamenting it wasn't updated. If I had created something this good, I would be proud of it and take the time to update, whether I still played or not.
Could've just moved on, many modders generally don't have only a single mod, lots of other things could be taking their time too, work being an example.
Hope the author or somebody else revives this. I don't know if it's been fixed at all with Enhanced Edition, but from when I last played the game definitely needed something like this desperately.
