About this mod

Transmog Reskin System allows selection of your player skins, for armors, weapons, etc, via an in-game ui. Also allows unique skins per item, and syncs data for all players (multiplayer/co-op)!

Installation / How To Setup:
  • Download & Extract THIS MODS ZIP FILE
  • Download & Extract RE-UE4SS v3+
  • Note: Use a program such as winrar, winzip, 7zip, etc - to unzip the downloaded zip archive then copy the actual files. do not copy the zip/rar files.
  • Copy Contents of UE4SS into your games binaries/win64 folder ("\Palword\Pal\Binaries\Win64") (\WinGDK instead of \Win64 for gamepass users)
  • MERGE the files (the Pal folder) from THIS MOD into your games "Pal" folder ("\Palword\Pal")
  • (if using gamepass, move the files copied during the previous merge step from Win64 winto WinGDK)

Future Features Planned:

  • Glider skins would be nice..
  • Finish ALL default equip skin json files
  • Some custom armor skins for each of the default armors..
  • Buildable Object Skins? (not sure how desirable this would actually be, and it couldnt be for *everything*, could it?)
  • DRAMATICALLY improved UI!! (current ui looks like some lamball droppings imo)

  • Automatically update skins when switch equipment


Known Issues / Limitations:
(For Muggles)
The pak file for this mod MUST be named `DekXMOG_P.pak` so DO NOT change the name!

If connecting to a server that doesnt have the mod, you may enter 'the void' (never ending loading zone).. You may also encounter this when connecting to a server that has the mod, if you dont.

Default skins are not fully finished (about 90% are, only trashy weapons left), so its not possible to return to the default skin for those items yet (but most of the affected items also dont yet have a custom skin included with this system)


BIG DISCLAIMER:
RESKIN MODS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN SPECIFICALLY CREATED FOR THIS SYSTEM, MAY NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH THIS SYSTEM!!

WHY? Because they all override the default game assets rather than create new assets. Additionally, they will not have a MODNAME.skin.json file,
which is 100% REQUIRED by this system in order to find the skin data, and in turn, pass its unique information over the network for replication.

HOW do you know if your skin mod is compatible? Easy! It will have some kind of MODNAME.skin.json file within its download!

WHAT happens if you try use some non xmog skin mod anyway? At best, it will always override the default armor (for whatever the skin normally overrides), and at worst, it will use a different material order from default, which will cause severe visual glitches (when the armor is equipped)
