I have the mod pulling up in game with f5 and i set it to how many players i want but how do i invite everyone to play now? First time using this mod or even playing this game.
I managed to get it running. You dont have to do some of the stuff he said, like downloading BepinEx Config Manager and pasting it into the Appdata. All you have to do is : 1.) Download Thunderstore ( you dont even have to make a profile, just download it, not sure if this really is needed since you will mostly use r2modman) 2.) Download r2modman's plugin 3.) Create profile in r2modman 4.) Change the game directory for outward if it isnt already pathed towards the game directory 5.) Just download this from the r2modman Application -BepinExPack_Outward v5.4.19 -Sideloader 3.8.4 by sinai-dev -Outward Config Manager v17.2.0 by Mefino -Raid Mode v4.2.3 (not the legacy one since I am playing on Definitive Edition) 6.) Go have fun with your friends
Your mod currently does not work with the latest versions of the dependency mods, Outward_Config_Manager and SideLoader, as the game goes into a black screen.
I found an old reddit post of you suggesting to use an older version of both dependency mods, which I tried, but I fall into another issue with this where your mod does not appear on the Outward_Config_Manager's menu.
I am by no means a professional in modding, but so far from all that I've troubleshooted, I believe, again I could be wrong still, your mod needs to be updated to work with the newest version of the dependency mods.
OR, Please at least give us the details about what versions for all the dependency mods are the ones we need exactly in order to get your mod working of the last version you uploaded.
P.S. I did make sure that on Steam the game is on "default-mono" before I clicked on Start modded on R2ModMan.
im having problems to play with my friends idk if you are still texting back to the comments atleaste y hope so i already tried manually, Thunderstore and r2dmod i dont really know the problem at this point and im the only one of my friends group who searchs for the mods and etc and im actually puzzled if you could lend my a hand to anything i would love it we are using the definitive edition of the Outward, we did 3 tries to make it work in any of them neither the F1 or F5 opened a menu so i dont really know at this point what might cause this. Ty
The instructions only explain how to install the mod's files when doing it manually. It then specifies if you don't see where to install it, then you need to install BepInEx by following the official linked documentation. Or if you're wanting to use Thunderstore, it links to the offcial docs for doing that.
F1 is the key for the manually installed Config Manager. It's different for the Thunderstore version. But I'll update it to cover that.
I have zero issues someone uploading their own version of Raid Mode. But it's obviously not ideal. I sadly don't have the time to maintain this project anymore. So if anyone wants to take over, they can go for it!
Manually installing is the way to go. The definite edition folder is a bit deeper in the steam files which is easy to miss. I will write more detailed instructions here later as I really want to go to bed and have yet to test it by having friends join
