Use this mod instead, https://www.nexusmods.com/outward/mods/194 Its works with the most updated version and all the DLC at the time of this post and it adds more arrows like fire arrows, including the poison and palladium arrows
plz fix! my poor archer is sad because he cant set fire to his enemies. Why dont you want to hear the screams of the not-yet charcoal? THERE ARE MARSHMALLOWS TO TOAST
Your mod is awesome but I discovered it onlyw now and seems isn't working yet ? Your way to craft and upgrade arrows seems more usefull than the new one in the Three Brothers DLC. Hope you'll update it soon ! Thanks for the job nonetheless.
This mod is AWESOME!! Thank you so much Ehaugw for sharing!
As Misiekt so kindly mentioned below, if you want to adjust something you can do so in the mods recipe config file (JSON file) found at the end of the installation path - STEAM\steamapps\common\Outward\BepInEx\plugins\Arrows\SideLoader\Recipes *Every recipe has its own config file so you will have to alter each one individually*
By default this mod only gives you one arrow per rag and I wasn't a fan of how much linen that required so I simply changed the amount of crafted arrows received by altering the number in this line within each recipe -<Quantity>1</Quantity>
So say you want: 1 arrow + 1 rag = 25 crafted arrows(pick whatever number you prefer) you would change it to look like this -<Quantity>25</Quantity>
Then I decided to try out the suggestion by MrKilljoy and replace the rags altogether with crabeye seeds (for poison) and thick oil (for fire) and it also worked like a charm!!
For FIRE arrows using thick oil change the following line in the FireArrow JSON file: <Ingredient_ItemID>4400040</Ingredient_ItemID> TO <Ingredient_ItemID>6600070</Ingredient_ItemID>
For POISON arrows using crabeye seeds (not grilled) change the following line in the PoisonArrow JSON file: <Ingredient_ItemID>4400020</Ingredient_ItemID> TO <Ingredient_ItemID>4000020</Ingredient_ItemID>
And just to be clear for anyone new Outward, there is no recipe to be bought in game from a vendor for these. You will simply go to the menu tab for crafting, select the manual option, and place each of the ingredients in the item slots (example in the images section). After the first success you will "learn" the recipe for future use.
I hope the info helps someone! Happy modding folks!
how about making poison arrows require only one cooked crab's eye? using a poison rag is just a waste of cloth and you only get one arrow per. also fire arrows could be made by combining arrows and thick oil but in bunches of 3 at least otherwise it wouldn't be worth the resources. Thanks for making this.
