Description
The Remaster inherits the leveled world of the original Oblivion, including some glaring problems. On such issue is that low-leveled creatures and items will stop spawning once you reach a certain level.
This occurs because the game has a setting that controls the maximum level difference between the player and leveled creatures and items. If the difference exceeds this setting, the items will no longer spawn. By default, the maximum difference is 8 levels for both creatures and items. This means that iron weapons (level 1) will stop spawning after level 9, and so on. The same applies to low-level creatures.
This can easily be fixed by changing the iLevCreaLevelDifferenceMax and iLevItemLevelDifferenceMax to a larger number. That's all this mod does.
There's some minor inconsistencies caused by the setup of certain leveled lists that expect the settings above to be 8. This is covered better by Ascension Remastered, which supersedes and includes this mod.
Installation
- Navigate to your Steam\SteamApps\common folder.
- Add the .esp file in the download to the \Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data folder.
- Open the plugins.txt file in the \Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data\ folder.
- At the bottom of the file, add the name of the .esp files that you installed.
Uninstallation
Reverse the above steps.
Compatibility
This mod simply changes two gamesettings, so is compatible with everything.
